Twenty years after his debut match, Dick Togo has called time on his illustrious wrestling career in Japan with a Super No Vacancy show in Korakuen Hall. In the main event, Dick Togo defeated Gedo from New Japan Pro Wrestling with his trademark Diving Senton. After the match, Togo got on the mic and said when he began wrestling, he met four men who were his seniors: Gedo, Jado, Super Delfin and The Great Sasuke. Togo also said he had waited a long time to have a singles match with Gedo and he was thankful to finally get it.

Togo was accompanied by many wrestlers from his past during the retirement ceremony. His protégés Antonio Honda, Daisuke Sasaki, Yuki Sato and Yasu Urano were in his corner for the main event and each handed him a bouquet of flowers, Masao Orihara and Masato Yakushiji both made an appearance, the Michinoku Pro crew got together with Kaientai*DX getting one last group shot together and Togo even got to see Hayabusa again. Sanshiro Takagi bowed to Togo, handed over a giant bouquet of flowers and was given the Pedigree one last time. Togo finished the ceremony by telling everyone he was really lucky to know so many people over the years, from the fans to the wrestlers. He hopes to see them again when he finishes his tour of the world. After that, Togo thanked the audience and the show ended.

Dick Togo will spend one more year wrestling around the world before he retires for good. But for now, his wrestling career in Japan is over.

Kanayama Asunal Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs El Samurai

This is a surprise. No one would have guessed that Isami Kodaka’s next DDT Extreme Title defence would be against El Samurai!

One last note, for a while I have been getting Keita Yano’s name wrong. I have mistakenly been calling him Yano K Data all this time, thinking this was a seperate gimmick he only used in Union. Turns out he goes pretty much everywhere dressed as a cross between Doink The Clown and The Joker. The Google Translate site has recently improved its results for translating Japanese into English and vice versa, so now the kanji for his name correctly comes up as Keita Yano instead of Yano K Data. So I’m going to go back through the posts and make the corrections to his name.

Jun Kasai is the big name added to the second “CHARITY WRESTLING SERIES ON THE ROAD” show. While he showed up in Union back in May, Kasai’s last DDT appearance took place at last year’s Sumo Hall show where Sanshiro Takagi literally flushed him down a toilet during the dark match.

The new KO-D Tag Team Champions just need to get past Emi Sakura & Masa Takanashi to defend the titles at Sumo Hall. Can HARASHIMA & HERO! do what the two previous champions could not and win their first title defence?

Not sure what kind of match the Committee Meeting will create. It could be a 6-Man Tag, it could be a Battle Royal or it even could be a Handicap match of some sort.

The Dark Match will have Sanshiro Takagi take on either Yoshiaki Yago, Madoka, Tomomitsu Matsunaga or Super Shit Machine. The choice will be up to Yago on the night.

The “Anywhere Pro Wrestling” charity tour will move onto its second show in Hidaka on 2nd August. A 5 Way match will be set in a factory where “Luggage Materials” are made. Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Sanshiro Takagi Vs Member Of The Superstars (Susan Guard & Shit Heart ♥ Foundation)
2. Takao Soma Vs Hikaru Sato

Hikaru Sato demanded to face Takao Soma in a singles match, their first since Soma defeated Sato in a Hair Vs Hair match back in February. Now that Soma has been kicked out of Shit Heart ♥ Foundation, will he go into the match with a new attitude and hope to make peace with Sato? If so, will Hikaru Sato be able to resist the urge to tear off the arm of the man who humiliated him?

Speaking of the Shit Heart ♥ Foundation, the group now consists of Tomomitsu Matsunaga and the Super Shit Machine. After kicking out Takao Soma, they have struck up an alliance with the Susan Guard of Yoshiaki Yago, Kengo Mashimo & Madoka to form a new group called The Superstars. They will make their first appearance together at Shin-Kiba 1st RING when one of them will take on Sanshiro Takagi.
