Sanshiro Takagi Vs Michael Nakazawa is added to the card after Nakazawa strongly demanded the match to happen. Not only that but Nakazawa also wants it to be a Weapons Rumble match, a match where a different weapon is brought down to the ring every couple of minutes. Nakazawa has been acting odd lately. He has been using a certain Golden Star’s phone to send naked pictures of himself to Takagi, probably to play mind games with him (key word: probably). Nakazawa also said he has prepared a secret weapon that will frighten Takagi when it appears.

1. Food Village Wrestling Vs Royal Road Wrestling – PWF Rules: Crusher Takahashi Vs Fumihito Kihara ended in a Double Count Out (14:12).
2. Kickboxing Vs Karate Rematch Of Fate: Kazuhiko Ogasawara defeated Tanomusaku Toba by KO with High Kicks (7:40).
3. Cyborg Vs Ferocious Mammal Full Settlement Warfare!: Survival Tobita defeated J-Soul Pandita III with the Freezing Shower (6:18).
4. Goodbye Tamagawa!! Tokyo Last Match!!: Batten Tamagawa defeated Shota with the Batten Bomber (10:36).
5. Reunion Of Fate: Shinichiro Tominaga defeated Yumehito Imanari with the Moonsault (13:40).
6. Armageddon Final Battle: Ken Ohka defeated Osamu Namiguchi with the Spear Of Fire (15:21)

Ken Ohka has survived his Armageddon and finally defeated his nemesis Osamu Namiguchi! Ever since its inception back in February, Ganbare☆Wrestling has been mocked and constantly attacked by Namiguchi and his partner in crime Kazuhiko Ogasawara. Ohka stood up for the company he created from scratch but constantly fell to Namiguchi. One last battle between the two took place the day after Christmas. Ohka was proving to be a match for his opponent until he was given a Low Blow behind the referee’s back. Ogasawara also got involved attacking Ohka while the ref was distracted. Several Ganpuro wrestlers ran down to ringside to stop him but Ogasawara was able to defeat them easily. But Ohka refused to give up. Ogasawara interfered again and threw a High Kick, but Ohka ducked and the kick struck Namiguchi instead! Ohka countered the Lanakira-N and delivered the Spear Of Fire to score the pin and finally beat Namiguchi. Ohka stopped Namiguchi from leaving ringside after the match and thanked him for the experience he gained from fighting him all year. Ohka offered a handshake but Namiguchi ignored it and left.

Ohka declared Ganpuro is now major sport wrestling and announced Chapter 2 of the company will begin on 6th April, 2014 in Kitizawa Town Hall. Yumehito Imanari wondered why the next show will take so long and what will they get up to during the first three months of next year. Ohka told them they will go to Union and they will crush Union! Ohka wants Ganpuro to be a major company and the next step is to crush the competition!

Bad Tension TAMAGAWA went back to just being Batten Tamagawa for his final match in Tokyo before he goes home for at least the time being. After beating Shota, Tamagawa said he wanted to change his “half-baked” self. He tried dabbling in evil as Bad Tension TAMAGAWA and he admits he is still an immature person. He tearfully thanked everyone and told each of the Ganpuro wrestlers to hang in there.

Survival Tobita’s cyborg transformation was completed in time for his battle with the creature known as J-Soul Pandita III. But Tobita had a major weakness, his brain was left exposed. Tobita survived the head trauma Pandita gave him and was able to defeat the monster with help from a gas cooling extinguisher. He froze Pandita with the extinguisher and then delivered an Elbow Drop for the pin. After the match a mysterious doctor wearing the Scream mask entered the ring and put down Pandita with an injection. Tobita was shocked and yelled at the doctor for killing the creature. Tobita told him a friendship began to grow with him and Pandita and swore revenge on the “fake doctor”.

Gorikiko appeared dressed in a Santa costume. Not a sexy Santa costume, just regular Santa. She was disappointed she did not have a match on the show but said she would work hard as a second for the wrestlers.

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Aja Kong defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Akebono (c) when Dino pinned Takagi with the Danshoku Driver (12:30).
*Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Akebono fail in V3. The Homo-sapiens become the 7th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
7. KO-D Openweight Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: HARASHIMA (c) defeated Yukio Sakaguchi (c) with the Somato (16:34).
*V4 for HARASHIMA. HARASHIMA becomes the 978th Iron Man Champion.

After a brief detour, HARASHIMA is once again a DDT Triple Crown Champion! He defeated the person I believed had the best chance of winning the KO-D Openweight Title from him and in the process won back the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. On paper, HARASHIMA Vs Yukio Sakaguchi looked to be as hard hitting as they come. Plenty of kicks and knee strikes were on offer along with some Triangle Chokes and Sleeper Holds, the move Sakaguchi used to beat HARASHIMA the last time they were in the ring together. This time HARASHIMA was able to escape the hold and strike back with the ever reliable Somato. Sakaguchi kicked out but HARASHIMA quickly replied with another Somato to put him down for good. The champion told Sakaguchi they just had a thrilling match and it was so fun for him. “Thanks a bunch!” They hugged and shook hands afterwards.

Danshoku Dino and Makoto Oishi have finally gotten their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles back, this time with Aja Kong along for the ride. Kong was more than suitable for the job, matching strength for strength with Toru Owashi in an impromptu sumo bout. She was about to do the same with Akebono until Danshoku Dino got involved and chased after the AJPW Triple Crown champion. Dino eventually got what he wanted, delivering a big old Lip Lock to Akebono. Kong did the same to Sanshiro Takagi, stunning him enough for Dino to deliver the Danshoku Driver and win the titles. Dino called his new team the Homo-sapiens. Kong thought she didn’t have to team with them anymore but decided to stay.

Tetsuya Endo ends the year on a low note by losing to his fellow generational opponent Konosuke Takeshita in one of three highlighted singles matches held throughout the show. Endo cried out how useless he was, it’s no good if he doesn’t win and it’s no good if he’s not strong. He is upset he lost to a high school student and swore he will beat Takeshita someday. Takeshita recognised the judges who voted him the Tokyo Sports Rookie of the Year and said “It was not wrong to choose Takeshita.”

DJ Nira tried to trick Kota Ibushi before their match by sending out Gota Ihashi in his place. And in his clothes. Nira then launched the ambush, yelling “Take that, a present from me!” Ibushi simply moved out of the way and then proceeded to dominate the match. Nira had some glimpses of a comeback but at the end quickly submitted to a Front Necklock.

Saki Akai came out dressed as a sexy Santa and her partners KUDO and Yasu Urano were her reindeer. GAMI took her temporary role in the Monster Army seriously and was there to toughen up Akai. She and Antonio Honda were in tune with each other, both giving out Bionic Elbows to KUDO and Urano. But in a Christmas miracle, Akai leapt onto both of them from the tope rope. Urano cut off Daisuke Sasaki and gave him a Frankensteiner, leaving him right on target for KUDO’s Diving Double Knee Drop for the three count. Akai thanked KUDO and Urano in a backstage interview for supporting her because she still feels nervous in the ring. Her goal for next year is to win the Iron Man Championship.

Hikaru Sato found the perfect piece of clothing to battle Michael Nakazawa and the pair of shorts he uses to fuel the Ultimate Venom Arm. Sato brought out a school swimsuit and used it to do his own Ultimate Venom Arm to pin Nakazawa. After the match Nakazawa asked Sato to team with him again as they would be invincible with their shorts and swimsuits. Sato ignored him.

Team Dream Futures reflected over their performance throughout 2013. Shigehiro Irie became KO-D Champion and recorded more defences in a single title reign than anyone else in the belt’s history. Keisuke Ishii charged into All Japan to sort out an old grudge with the promotion he has held ever since he trained in their dojo. He now hopes to play a central role in “cheerful wrestling” for DDT. Soma Takao meanwhile was obsessed with talking about the colour red.

Kazuki Hirata ran through a gauntlet of wrestlers in a pre-show trial to prove he is not a “boring shit” wrestler. He had a bad start losing to Tomomitsu Matsunaga but bounced back by beating Gota Ihashi. Guanchulo stopped him from winning two in a row yet Hirata avoided two straight defeats by pinning Choun-Shiryu. His last opponent was a big surprise, the “Crazy Monkey” Jun Kasai! Even worse, he was armed with a barbed wire baseball bat which he used to great effect. Hirata ended the series with a losing record of two victories and three defeats. Afterwards Kasai said he was supposed to be spending quality time with his family for the holidays before DDT contacted him to appear. He told Hirata that Takagi was just treating him like a toy and he himself had just beaten him up for fun. He wished him luck to become better and hoped to fight him again in DDT when he improves.

A Homoiro Clover Z Vs Up Up Girls challenge is set for 19th February in Shinjuku FACE. The aim of the event is to show both the beauty of wrestling and the beauty of idols.

1. Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao defeated Yukio Sakaguchi, Hikaru Sato & Tetsuya Endo when Ishii pinned Endo with the Kneel Kick (8:05).
2. 4 Vs 4 Vs 1 Irregular 3 Way Match: Sanshiro Takagi, Kazuki Hirata, MIKAMI & Shuji Ishikawa defeated Makoto Oishi, Tomomitsu Matsunaga, DJ Nira & Kazuhiro Tamura and Michael Nakazawa by Referee Stoppage when Ishikawa used the Giant Venom Arm on Nakazawa (8:43).
3. HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & Emi Sakura defeated Guanchulo, Ivan Markov & Bonnie when Urano pinned Guanchulo with the Tombstone Piledriver (13:15).
4. Antonio Honda, Daisuke Sasaki & Hoshitango defeated Kyonin Shihan, Rubber Man & Kappa Boy (w/ Miyako Haru) when Honda pinned Boy with the Diving Fist Drop (8:03).
5. Danshoku Dino & Akito defeated Kota Ibushi & Gota Ihashi when Akito submitted Ihashi with the Ankle Hold (11:27).
6. KUDO defeated Masa Takanashi with the Diving Double Knee Drop (18:40).

The spotlight today was on Masa Takanashi for his 10th Anniversary Show in Edogawa. The main event was Takanashi and KUDO squaring off with KUDO earning the win at the end. Takanashi apologised for his bad form during his end of show speech and he thanked KUDO for assuming the unpleasant role of being his opponent. Takanashi also brought his parents into the ring and they gave him a cake to celebrate his 10 years. Takanashi said he lives in a world of his own, he intends to live there forever and he thanked everyone for letting him exist in this ring.

Emi Sakura was upset with HARASHIMA for no longer being a Triple Crown champion like herself. They still posed with their titles in the ring together after the match. Ivan Markov meanwhile turned on Guanchulo for losing the match by giving him the Neck Hanging Bomb.

By request of everyone involved in the match, the Battle Royal turned into a 3 Way Team match with all of the wrestlers teaming with whoever they want. Sanshiro Takagi, Kazuki Hirata, MIKAMI & Shuji Ishikawa were on one team. Makoto Oishi, Tomomitsu Matsunaga, DJ Nira & Kazuhiro Tamura were on another team. Nobody wanted to team with Michael Nakazawa so he had to wrestle on his own. Nakazawa actually did pretty well given the circumstances. He gave everyone the Ultimate Venom Arm two by two until it was down to himself and Shuji Ishikawa, who was wearing a towel and holding the pair of shorts he was originally wrestling in. They had a showdown and Ishikawa got Nakazawa with the Giant Venom Arm first, causing the referee to step in and award the win to Shuji’s team.

2. Kyushu Selection Army Vs DDT Sekigun – All Out War: Kota Ibushi, Yuto Aijima & Azul Dragon defeated Masa Takanashi, Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Michael Nakazawa when Ibushi pinned Nakazawa with the Sit Down Last Ride (12:18).
3. Antonio Honda defeated Batten Tamagawa with the Diving Fist Drop (7:45).
4. 3 Vs 2 Handicap Match: Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Maki Ito defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi when Oishi pinned Takagi after Ito used the Poison Mist (11:44).
5. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yukio Sakaguchi, MIKAMI & Tetsuya Endo defeated HARASHIMA (c), KUDO & Yasu Urano by Referee Stoppage when Sakaguchi used the Sleeper Hold on HARASHIMA (13:50).
*Yukio Sakaguchi becomes the 978th champion.
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto (c) defeated Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie when Miyamoto pinned Ishii with the Pivot Fire Thunder (13:26).
*V6 For Yankii Ni Cho Kenju.

The defences just keep on coming for the KO-D Tag Team Champions, this time with a victory over Team Dream Futures. After the match Yuko Miyamoto said that even though a certain newspaper didn’t give them an award this year, they have defended the championships well. Isami Kodaka welcomed many more challenges from Drift because they will beat them every time. Keisuke Ishii doesn’t see the funny side. Today was his 6th straight KO-D Tag Team Title match defeat (including the match where he and Irie lost the titles). He thought the experience gained in All Japan recently would help himbut instead he is left feeling very frustrated. However he will not give up and still wants to go after the KO-D Tag Titles and also the All Asia Tag Team Titles. Shigehiro Irie promised Ishii he will work hard and Soma Takao said he wants to get a Tag Title shot too.

Yukio Sakaguchi scored a major victory over HARASHIMA just over a week before they face off for the KO-D Openweight Title. Sakaguchi choked out the champion with a Sleeper Hold, forcing the referee to stop the match and award his team with the win. As a result, Sakaguchi also became the new Iron Man Heavymtalweight Champion, ending HARASHIMA’s DDT Triple Crown reign.

Sanshiro Takagi’s weird grudge with idol groups not called AKB48 returned with this 2-on-3 Handicap match. Takagi and Toru Owashi will soon reunite with Akebono to defend their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Aja Kong. But today Takagi & Owashi faced Dino, Oishi and Maki Ito from the group LinQ. Ito’s wrestling debut was not pleasant. When she got into the ring with Takagi, she was given a Giant Swing while her group’s new song “Colourful Days” was playing over the speakers. She also was the victim of a backfired double team move involving her face being shoved into Dino’s exposed backside. Things were looking bleak until Oishi countered Takagi’s Sunflower Bomb into a Frankensteiner. Ito then suddenly spat Poison Mist into Takagi’s eyes, distracting him enough for Oishi to pin him afterwards.

Batten Tamgawa riled up the crowd with his Americanisms before his match with Antonio Honda by mocking the local food. Honda however was not buying it and wrestled the match trying to get Tamagawa to admit he actually eats the Japanese food he was making fun of. Honda succeeded and a defeated Tamagawa admitted he loves the food in Hakata. He apologised for pretending to be American and will move to the area next year.

Michael Nakazawa bragged to his Kyushu opponents about how cool Tokyo is before the DDT Vs Kyushu 6-Man Tag match. Naturally he was defeated.

Shin-kiba 1st RING

1. SAGAT Vs Kyoko Kimura
2. Union Fly To Everywhere World Title: Cherry (c) Vs Sareee
3. Union MAX Title: Ivan Markov (c) Vs FUMA

FUMA fights for Union’s honour when he challenges Ivan Markov for the brand new Union MAX Title. Markov believes Japan is a country full of losers after defeating Union’s top two wrestlers Shuji Ishikawa and Isami Kodaka in recent months. FUMA himself has only just begun to be on the winner’s side of matches but his heart and spirit are in the right place.

Cherry suffered an upset defeat in a 3 Way Match at yesterday’s show, being pinned young Pro Wrestling Diana wrestler Sareee. The victory made Sareee the No. 1 Contender for Cherry’s Fly To Everywhere Championship. Sareee will be a few months shy of turnng 18 years old when the match takes place in January.

After teaming together twice, SAGAT has challenged Kyoko Kimura to a singles match.
