3. Utsunomiya Specialty Special Single Match: Tetsuya Endo defeated Antonio Honda with the Yurikamome Hold (14:13).

5. HARASHIMA, Chris Brookes & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Yuki Iino when Brookes submitted Iino with the Octopus Stretch (11:49).
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs DAMNATION!: Konosuke Takeshita, Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & MAO defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Yuji Hino & Mad Paulie when Ueno pinned Paulie with the BME (20:07).

In a slight reversal of recent fortunes, Yuki Ueno picked up the win in the main event. However, Daisuke Sasaki got away with the DDT Universal Title still in his possession. Ueno promised to get his belt back and also promised The 37KAMIINA will beat DAMNATION for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles tomorrow. Backstage Shunma Katsumata said the unit will show they can get results without needing Konosuke Takeshita on their team. MAO said he will embarrass Tetsuya Endo in his own hometown. When Endo later heard that, his message to MAO was to not say Shiraishi City’s name without his permission! DAMNATION will win and make sure The 37KAMIINA will never step foot in Shiraishi ever again!

Antonio Honda’s antics were enough to convince Tetsuya Endo to join in the fun and do his own Honda mannerisms.

Yukio Naya showed up at the start of the show complaining about being left off the card. When Match #2 took place, Demonio Uno went out of control attacking everybody and forced the match to get cancelled. The mascot Pokotan appeared for the first time in ages to stop him and the match restarted as a 4 Vs 1 Handicap match. Uno couldn’t handle being outnumbered and was unmasked reveal it was Naya all along!

Pom And Others Pulled From This Weekend’s Shows, Goro Tsurumi’s Genes

July 7, 2021

Tokyo is entering a fresh state of emergency that will last until 22nd August so don’t get attached with the upcoming schedule. I suspect changes are coming. If they’re banning spectators from the Olympics then I can’t see fans allowed at wrestling shows either. That’s if wrestling shows can go ahead in Tokyo at all.

Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

Tokyo Itabashi Green Hall

News came out today that Pom Harajuku tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss this weekend’s shows. Miyu Yamashita and Yuki Aino were in recent close contact with her so they too are going to be absent while they self isolate. Last week Harajuku had a slight fever after receiving her first vaccine and when the fever did not disappear after a few days, she took a PCR test and it came back positive. She has since been feeling better but all three women will be under observation for a period of time until they are deemed ok to return. Both shows are currently having their match cards revised.

7. DDT Extreme Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – No DQ, No Submission Rules: Chris Brookes (E/c) Vs Shinya Aoki (I/c)

If nothing with the schedule changes then we’re going to see plenty of Jun Akiyama Vs Konosuke Takeshita tag matches in the next month.

Last time Yuki Ueno and Daisuke Sasaki were in Shinjuku FACE together, Sasaki beat him in under two minutes with a lot of cheating. Now is Ueno’s chance to get some revenge in the same building.

Some old school indie sleaze makes its way onto the show. Both Sanshiro Takagi and Naoshi Sano were trained by Goro Tsurumi in the IWA Kakuto Shijuku promotion. Demonio Uno came from there too.

1. Soma Takao defeated Hideki Okatani with the Running Elbow Butt (8:59).
2. Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai defeated Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Higuchi submitted Hirata with the Modified Canadian Backbreaker (11:54).
3. Mystery Lumberjack Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Naya defeated Akito & Keigo Nakamura when Takagi pinned Nakamura with the Stone Cold Stunner (8:03).
4. 4 Way Match: Yuki Iino defeated Danshoku Dieno, Chris Brookes and Antonio Honda when Iino pinned Honda with the Haka Elbow (11:58).
5. Akiyama-gun Vs ALL OUT!: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata defeated Jun Akiyama & Mizuki Watase when Katsumata pinned Watase with a Modified Figure 4 Jackknife Pin (13:45).
6. DAMNATION Vs DISASTER BOX!: HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani when HARASHIMA pinned Shimatani with the Somato (16:08).

A right ankle injury suffered during yesterday’s show removed Tetsuya Endo from today’s event. Nobuhiro Shimatani took his place and tried to do the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb in tribute but HARASHIMA countered it into a Sleeper Hold. HARASHIMA gave his support to Yuki Ueno to go win the KO-D Openweight Title.

Now Jun Akiyama’s presence in DDT is grabbing the attention of Shunma Katsumata. He kept trying to provoke Akiyama in the latest ALL OUT Vs Akiyama-gun match. With some help from Konosuke Takeshita, Katsumata won the match by getting the pin on Mizuki Watase. Akiyama and Katsumata had another face off afterwards.

The 4 Way Match was worked more like a tag bout with Danshoku Dieno and Yuki Iino pairing up against Antonio Honda and Chris Brookes.

The Mystery Lumberjack match only had one Lumberjack. The World Mystery Wrestler Association only sent Demonio Uno because of limitations caused by the Coronavirus. Uno was out of control, attacking the wrestlers, dragging Keiko Nakamura backstage and knocking out the referee. Akito called for help and “Scatman” played over the speakers. Nakamura returned wearing a mask and being announced as Scatman K! He unmasked Uno and sent him fleeing. Sanshiro Takagi wore Uno’s mask then gave Nakamura the Stunner for the win. An announcement afterwards said the battle between DDT and the Mystery Wrestler Army will continue with three more enemies coming to invade soon. Good luck Scatman K!

Kazuki Hirata’s entrance gear went missing and he accused Yukio Sakaguchi of stealing it all. He was right, Sakaguchi entered the ring carrying Hirata’s entrance gown and GO! glasses. Hirata got even more annoyed because Sakaguchi wouldn’t even wear the stuff he stole! Sakaguchi ignored Hirata, found his wallet and went off to spend his money at the gacha machines. Hirata chased after him. The way they returned, Sakaguchi drove a forklift into the venue with Hirata stuck in a basket that Sakaguchi won from the machine.

A new trainee had an exhibition match today. Toui Kojima is 20 years old from Saitama and his sports background is in soccer. He went five minutes in the ring with Katsumata, losing to a Texas Cloverleaf.

3a. Rematch: Rika Tatsumi defeated Demonio Uno with the Missile Hips (11:00).
4. Summer Vacation Special Plan, I’m Excited About Summer Tokyo Joshi Festival 2019 “Chu! Natsu Party Death Match”: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Nodoka Tenma & Mina Shirakawa when Sakazaki pinned Shirakawa with the Magical Magical Girl Splash With Fireworks into the Pool (12:49).
5. Maki Itoh & Hikari Noa defeated Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino when Noa pinned Aino with the Uranage (12:55).
6. Miyu Yamashita defeated Miu Watanabe with the Attitude Adjustment (11:38).

Miyu Yamashita praised Miu Watanabe for getting stronger since the last time they fought each other. Watanabe took the words to heart and said in her mind today was not a defeat. She asked Yamashita to support her when they challenge for the Princess Tag Team Titles on 25th August.

The team of Maki Itoh & Hikari Noa struggled to get along at first. That is because Noa regularly teams with Itoh’s enemy Natsumi Maki. They seemed to gel as the match went on and eventually became the winners. But Itoh still flipped off Noa when she went to shake her hand.

The ring canvas was covered in blue sheets for the Natsu Party Death Match. Any summer related item was permitted to be used as a weapon including flotation rings, squirt guns, water balloons and watermelons. There was also a small kids pool filled with water placed inside the ring Mina Shirakawa introduced herself to the audience as “The Happy H Cup Who Will Give A Power Bomb To Your Heart.” Everyone threw water at each other and got soaked. Mizuki found fireworks and shot them at Nodoka Tenma while Yuka Sakazaki ran around with sparklers. Sakazaki sent Shirakawa into the pool then Double Stomped the watermelon on top of her. Sakazaki then hit the Magical Magical Girl Splash while fireworks shot up behind her to get the win. Shirakawa called the match her version of the G1, the Glamorous 1. Sakazaki said she wanted to use more fireworks but the venue became too damp.

Rika Tatsumi’s battle with Demonio Uno quickly ended in a Double Countout when the two fought their way out of the venue. They agreed to an immediate rematch but continued to brawl outside the ring. Back in the ring the referee got knocked down and Uno brought in a chair. Antonio Honda came to the rescue and gave Uno the Bionic Elbow. He then revived the referee while Tatsumi pinned her opponent with the Missile Hip Attack.

Honda was there to support Tatsumi because earlier in the show he was revealed to be Tatsumi & Sakazaki’s partner for the match against NEO Biishiki-gun on 1st Setpember! Honda told everyone that he previously knows the two girls from the time they were part of a music group together. He was the one who encouraged the two of them to take up pro wrestling!

Raku was the only member of the Up Up Girls not wrestling today so she held a solo concert called the Tsurumi Idol Festival during intermission.

Konosuke Takeshita found out that Danshoku Dieno is putting him through a series of high level opponents in order to prepare for his match with Shinya Aoki. Takeshita doesn’t know what to expect out of this.

The plan was to have Saki Akai team with Su Yung but Akai has the day off and will not be changing her plans. Instead Akai has made DDT book a distant non-blood relative of hers simply named Saki. Her name is written as “娑鬼” which can be translated to “Demon”. Akai claim the only times they have met in person were when they were children. Even then her memory of what Saki looks like is blurry. Akai drew a picture of what she thinks Saki looks like now. She assures to everyone that Saki is not part of the UMA Corps (Akai isn’t liked by them) but she is not certain if she is a human or a demon. Akai used her parents to contact Saki in the Kyoto mountains to set up this match with Yung against Asuka & Makoto.

Puma King is back in DDT for the first time since January.

This show will feature the DDT debut of Santino Marella! It will be his first appearance in DDT but he is a former Iron Man Champion.

A NEO Biishiki-gun reunion is on the cards but one person isn’t looking forward to it. Tatsumi still believes that the child maid Martha is really an old man who drinks a lot. A trios match has been put together and Tatsumi is gathering her team. She already has Sakazaki on her side and she promises a super special person will be joining them.

Gisele Shaw will be on the show.

The sea is dead, the earth has been ripped open and all forms of life have become extinct. But the chairs still live! The two chairs fighting each other come from the same family and have two other brothers. One of them was excommunicated. No need to tell the Lego people, it’s already been sorted. This was supposed to be a Lego Block Death Match but was quickly corrected to a Toy Block Death Match. Unfortunately for Shunma Katsumata the exact wording of the match has backfired on him. MAO used to play with concrete blocks from an early age. It was his favorite educational toy and made him the intelligent man he is today. That means concrete blocks are allowed to be used in the match! Katsumata is trying to protest the rules because he only wanted Lego involved. If he can’t change it then he’ll try to get MAO banned from Twitter like Chris Brookes. Either way, MAO’s going to smash him with a brick.
