1. Yusuke Kubo defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Death Metal Roll (9:01).
2. Reversal Pro Wrestling Trial: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Gouma Ryu and Atsushi Maruyama when Hiroshi pinned Ryu after a Buzzsaw Kick (9:47).
3. Continuation, Senga’s Oosugi Recapture Strategy: Best Stretchman V3 & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Hercules Senga & Takato Nakano when Oosugi pinned Senga with a School Boy (7:10).
4. Hardcore Tag Match: Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano defeated Ryuji Ito & Tatsuhiko Yoshino when Tsukamoto pinned Yoshino with the Zudon (15:19).
5. Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi, FUMA & SAGAT defeated Ryuichi Sekine, Ryota Nakatsu & Koji Iwamoto when SAGAT pinned Nakatsu with the Goregrind (16:10).
6. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Fuminori Abe with the Majigatame Type 1244 (19:09).
*V2 for Isami Kodaka.

When Fuminori Abe asked for a Union MAX Title shot he wanted to find out how far he has progressed since he started wrestling in BASARA. The champion Isami Kodaka was more than happy to oblige. Abe put up a good fight but Kodaka outwrestled him and made him submit to a Manjigatame. Kodaka told Abe that his body aches but the match was fun. Abe said even though he lost he was able to prove he enjoys wrestling more than anyone else. Kodaka agreed but told Abe he needs to take the next step. It’s fun now but Abe needs to grow to enjoy it even more. Kodaka told him there are only a handful of moments in his 15 year career when he experienced true ecstasy. Abe said there is no chance he can be compared to Munenori Sawa right now but his goal in the next few years is to go beyond Sawa then he can challenge Kodaka again.

IRON PRIEST and the Trans-Am ★ Family have joined forces to become the Metal Family! For their first match together Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi, FUMA & SAGAT came out to “(You Can Still) Rock In America” by Night Ranger. SAGAT also got into the swing of things by bringing a guitar with him to play during the entrance. He countered Ryota Nakatsu’s Cross Armbreaker and won the match with the Goregrind. Both Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi shouted words of praise to SAGAT afterwards. Phrases like “Good job!”, “Gore of the year!”, “Feel so good!” and “I’m coming!” which was then corrected to “Home coming!”

Both Hercules Senga & Takato Nakano asked Best Stretchman V3 to return Tsutomu Oosugi but Stretchman told them that Oosugi wanted to team with him. In the match itself Stretchman blocked a low kick from Senga and Oosugi rolled on top of Senga with a School Boy to pin him. Afterwards Senga asked Oosugi if he wanted to win so badly that he was willing to team with Stretchman. He then took out a promotional Speed Of Sounds photo to try and tug Oosugi’s emotional strings. When Stretchman saw the photo he finally realised that Senga and Oosugi are a tag team. He then had a brainstorm. The three of them can team up together! Senga refused because he does not want to conform to the Best Stretch style. Senga told the two he will see them in court on 6th January!

1. Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda defeated MAO & Rekka when Ueno pinned Rekka with a School Boy (9:02).
2. Toru Sugiura & Tomoya Hirata defeated Daiki Shimomura & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Tomoya submitted Shimatani with a Crab Hold (8:35).
3. Dai Suzuki Retirement Match ~Farewell Inexperienced Person~: Ryota Nakatsu, Kota Umeda & Ken Ohka defeated Dai Suzuki.
3a. Ryota Nakatsu defeated Dai Suzuki with the Crescent Moon (5:14).
3b. Kota Umeda defeated Dai Suzuki with a PK (4:49).
3c. Ken Ohka defeated Dai Suzuki with the Fire Spear (6:04).
4. DNA Vs IGF!: Keisuke Okuda defeated Mizuki Watase by TKO with the Sleeper Hold (7:55).
5. Diego DNA Last Match!: Diego defeated Shunma Katsumata with the V.H.S (11:07).
6. DNA Vs Yoshimura-gun: Kota Umeda & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Naomi Yoshimura & Akira Jo by Disqualification when Yoshimura assaulted the referee (8:51).
6a. Emergency Decision Match: Kota Umeda, Kouki Iwasaki & MAO defeated Naomi Yoshimura, Keisuke Okuda & Akira Jo when Umeda pinned Jo with the Umeda Driver (8:51).

Yoshimura-gun caused some chaos in the main event. First they ambushed Kota Umeda & Kouki Iwasaki then Naomi Yoshimura attacked the referee when the DNA team were making their comeback. By the time Yoshimura threw a chair at them his team was disqualified. Yoshimura got mad at the decision and gave Yukinori Matsui a Lariat in response. Yoshimura got on the microphone and said he doesn’t care about weak people. He was suddenly interrupted by a Dropkick from MAO. MAO grabbed the mic and asked if Yoshimura knows anything about pro wrestling? You win by pinfall or submission to settle your grudges. What kind of main event is Yoshimura having while everyone else in DNA is working hard? A bad finish like they just had only makes fans want to go home. MAO then challenged Yoshimura-gun to an impromptu 6-Man Tag Match. It was accepted and the chaos restarted. Yoshimura tried to bring a chair back in but Mizuki Watase grabbed it off him. The distraction helped MAO dive onto Yoshimura afterwards. Umeda & Iwasaki then double teamed Akira Jo until Umeda pinned him with the Umeda Driver. There was still some fighting after the match ended. When everything calmed down Umeda told Yoshimura he embarrassed himself for losing twice in one day. Yoshimura’s excuse was the match became 4 Vs 3 so it wasn’t fair. Umeda told him to bring Kengo next time so they can go 4 Vs 4.

For his last match in DNA, Diego took on his Amigo Shunma Katsumata. They were all smiles at the start until the match heated up and Katsumata encouraged Diego to fight harder. Diego countered the Casadora into a Foot Stomp and pinned Katsumata with the V.H.S to win a spirited match. The two were friendly with each other afterwards with Diego making sure his friend was ok. In DDT they were in separate units but they still sat together on the bus trips to shows and hung out together away from wrestling. They cried while saying they love each other. Katsumata also promised to visit Chile next time they see each other.

Keisuke Okuda beat Mizuki Watase but it wasn’t a walkover at all. Watase put all he had into his Dropkicks and Back Drops to the point where Okuda his the STO but was too beaten up to go for the pin. The two got into an Elbow Strike battle as they both stood up. Okuda gave Watase another STO then locked in a tight Sleeper Hold. Watase wouldn’t give up and eventually fainted so the match had to be stopped in favour of Okuda.

It turns out the retiring Dai Suzuki was more liked by the DNA roster than he thought. At the start of the show former DNA wrestler Ryota Nakatsu appeared asking to be Suzuki’s final opponent instead of Ken Ohka. He was told that the match had already been booked for a month so why didn’t he say anything sooner? While Ohka and Nakatsu argued, Kota Umeda entered the ring also asking to be Suzuki’s last opponent. Suzuki was so touched by the situation that he couldn’t decide who to wrestle. Ohka suggested Suzuki to do three matches for his retirement today, one against each of them. Suzuki agreed with the idea. The matches went ahead later in the shot and Suzuki lost all three of them. Nakatsu used an Arm Capture Half Crab Hold called the Crescent Moon to win the first bout, Umeda won the second with a Penalty Kick and Ohka won the finale with the Fire Spear. Suzuki was worn out by the end of the series but he still fought as hard as he could. Afterwards Ohka said that at 40 years old he himself will never retire until he accomplishes his task as a pro wrestler. For as long as he knew, wrestlers never retired under their own circumstances, instead they would leave without permission and escape from the dojo. However when he learned that Suzuki is retiring from wrestling so he can work in welfare, he now wants nothing more than for Suzuki to work hard at that job. Suzuki said he has ran away from many painful things in his life but he loves pro wrestling and feels like it saved him. He is proud of everyone he met through pro wrestling even though he himself was never a worthy wrestler. Suzuki thanked everyone and hopes to return his gratitude somehow with his future life.

Tomoya Hirata earned his first win since debuting as a wrestler last month. His tag partner Toru Sugiura described the FREEDOMS newcomer as a monster in the making. Both of them would like to wrestle in DNA more in the future to gain lots of experience. Nobuhiro Shimatani didn’t take the loss kindly because he submitted to someone who has only been wrestling for over a month. Daiki Shimomura is hoping to wrestle in another tag match next month but he doesn’t want Hirata to be involved.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “I TIGHTEN MY HELMET AND LEAVE FOR KORAKUEN” Results

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “I TIGHTEN MY HELMET AND LEAVE FOR KORAKUEN”, 10/12/2017
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
279 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. Rika Tatsumi defeated Yuki Kamifuku with the Dragon Sleeper (8:49).
2. Nonoko & Yuna Manase defeated Yuu & Hyper Misao when Nonoko pinned Misao with the Boinmaker (15:29).
3. Yuka Sakazaki Vs Mizuki ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).
4. Saki-sama & Azusa Christie defeated Syoko Nakajima & Marika Kobashi when Christie pinned Kobashi with Christie Agape (14:06).
5. Reika Saiki & Maho Kurone defeated Miyu Yamashita & Nodoka-oneesan when Saiki pinned Nodoka with the Jackhammer (16:01).

This is the last stop before Tokyo Joshi Pro returns to Korakuen Hall on 4th January. Reika Saiki and Miyu Yamashita gave each other a taste of what’s to come in their double title main event. But today, Saiki got the upper hand with some help from Maho Kurone. Yamashita was taken out by Kurone’s Ouroboros. That gave Saiki the opportunity to beat Nodoka-oneesan with a Back Drop, the Shining Wizard and the Jackhammer. Saiki told Yamashita afterwards that it is fun to fight her and it will be fun to beat her in Korakuen. Yamashita didn’t respond. She also refused to shake Saiki’s hand before leaving the ring.

Azusa Takigawa has appeared for the first time since she was kidnapped by Saki-sama and Yukio Saint Laurent. She is now Sister Azusa Christie, Saki-sama’s nun. Azusa explained that Saki-sama changed everything that was weak about her and transformed her into Azusa Christie. According to the Book Of Genesis in The Bible, God created mankind in his own image. For Azusa, God is Saki-sama. The new Azusa was calm and collected during her tag team match against Syoko Nakajima & Marika Kobashi. Azusa & Saki-sama got rid of Nakajima with an Elevated Codebreaker. Azusa then gave Kobashi the Christie Agape (Skull Crushing Finale) to earn her first victory. After the match Nonoko and Yuna Manase entered the ring. Nonoko was stunned to see what Azusa had turned into. As she was trying to speak, Azusa raised her bible and threatened to hit Nonoko with it. Nonoko told her they do not hit people with books ever since they were told not to by Zexy Magazine. Azusa ignored her and knocked Nonoko out with the bible. Saki-sama then challenged the Super Milk Combination to a match at Korakuen Hall.

The Yuka Sakazaki Vs Mizuki match ended in a time limit draw. Sakazaki targeted Mizuki’s foot and that saved Sakazaki from defeat during the final moments. Mizuki rolled her into the Cutie Special but could not hold on to the pin because of her damaged foot. She still risked it by hitting a Diving Foot Stomp afterwards but Sakazaki kicked out and the time expired. After the match Mizuki revealed who she will be teaming with when she faces the Miracle Apricots for the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles. It’s Mizuki’s best friend Riho! When Riho introduced herself, Sakazaki asked if this meant she was the newest member of the Ito Respect Army. Mizuki immediately said no and tried to change the subject. Syoko Nakajima said she is looking forward to fighting Riho because it is an opportunity to “conquer” Thailand (Gatoh Move’s home base) and from there, eventually the world!

Earlier in the week Nonoko announced her plans to graduate from Tokyo Joshi Pro. Today was her first match since her announcement and the other girls in the match protested the news. Hyper Misao and Yuu carried protest signs and asked Nonoko to reconsider. Nonoko loved the attention but grew annoyed at Misao’s constant chanting so she attacked her to start the match.

The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) were told that they will all be involved in a tag team match against each other for their debuts on 4th January. Hikari, Hinano, Raku and Miu all said how enthusiastic they are to wrestle soon.

BASARA “FUMA FEST VOL.1 ~WRESTLE ’EM ALL~”, 09/12/2017
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Nakatsu Dickinson defeated Takato Nakano with the Powerslave (8:43).
2. Jinbeizamen defeated Yngwie “SAGA” Malmsteen with the Buzzsaw Kick (7:03).
3. Rock ‘N Roll Cowboys Sudden Hell Match: Ricky Fuji Vs Ryuselmo Sekine ended in a Time Limit Draw (666 seconds).
4. Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto defeated Yusuke Kubo & Hagane when Miyamoto pinned Kubo with the Moonsault (10:25).
5. Goregrind Match: Jun Kasai defeated FUMA with the Pearl Harbor Splash (18:27).

The Goregrind Match featured electric guitars, a drum set, a ladder and lighttubes placed around the ring. Jun Kasai headbutted the lighttubes into FUMA then gave him the Reverse Tiger Driver and the Pearl Harbor Splash to win. Kasai had fun but got on the audience’s bad side when he said he doesn’t know much about heavy metal music. He invited FUMA over to FREEDOMS for a match some day. FUMA was happy with how the event turned out and said “FUMA FEST is forever immortal!”

The Rock ‘N Roll Cowboys Sudden Hell Match allegedly comes from Texas. To win the match you have to pin your opponent for one second then perfectly sing a rock song. However there is a 666 second time limit and neither Ricky Fuji or Ryuselmo Sekine could complete the task in time.

Nakatsu Dickinson, Yngwie “SAGA” Malmsteen and Ryuselmo Sekine were all introduced as a distant relatives of famous heavy metal musicians.

Heavy metal comedian Hashiyama Maiden hosted the show and did a skit before the main event where he headbanged next to a metal fan and got his long hair entangled in it.

Isami Kodaka had a few more surprises left for the Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai. Colt Cabana and Ayako Hamada are late additions to the tournament. Hamada accepted the invitation so late that she never knew about the tournament’s gimmick until she visited Kodaka to confirm her involvement. She’s disappointed that she won’t be able to wrestle a normal match unless she reaches the final.

What are those rules? There will be no ring ropes attached for the matches in Rounds 1 and 2. Victory can be achieved by pinfall, submission or ring out. The ropes will be attached for the semi-finals but the ring out rule will still be in effect. The final will be a regular match with no countouts.

D-King Grand Prix 2018 Schedule

December 4, 2017

DDT is trying out a round robin tournament to set up the main event of their next Sumo Hall show in March. The D-King Grand Prix will have two blocks both consisting of seven wrestlers. The winners of each block face each other in the final and the tournament champion gets added to the main event of “JUDGEMENT 2018 ~DDT 21ST ANNIVERSARY~”. This is the first round robin DDT has done since the 2010 Young Drama Cup and I think the first on DDT’s main shows since the 2005 KO-D Tag League. Every block match has a 30 minute time limit, I assume the final will have no time limit. Every show during the group stage will have one or two non-tournament matches as well.

A Block

Konosuke Takeshita
HARASHIMA
Keisuke Ishii
Tetsuya Endo
Masahiro Takanashi
Joey Ryan
Jiro Kuroshio

B Block

Daisuke Sasaki
Yukio Sakaguchi
