With Marika Kobashi back in the groove she wants to team up with Reika Saiki again and regain the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles. The Muscle JK team won the belts last May but had to vacate them three months later when Kobashi went down with her injury. They did not get an immediate title shot for two reason. One, Saiki already had a chance to win them back when she teamed with Maki Ito during Kobashi’s absence but lost the match. And two, another team wants to be in the next title match. Natsumi Maki & Hikari Noa are that other team. In her short time here in Tokyo Joshi Pro, Maki has spent most it in the ring with Noa both as teammates and opponents.

Chinsuke chased them off each time until the venue’s manager Mr. Sato opened a door and accidentally knocked Chinsuke out. Mr. Sato unintentionally pinned Chinsuke while he checked on him and ended up becoming the champion. Chinsuke won back the title a little while later when he ambushed Sato inside the building and trapped him under a ringside mat. Tanabota and Goto applauded from the bleachers.

Shinjuku FACE

1. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Winners Of 26/1 Tag Match

Yuka Sakazaki stood beside the arguments going on between the two teams vying for a title shot. She misread the situation and thought they were asking for a 4 Vs 2 match of some sort. To her credit, that kind of thinking might have avoided putting the Magical Sugar Rabbits in a situation where they would defend the titles against both teams in a 3 Way Tag Match. Instead they will go head to head with the better team out of the two potential challengers.

Monkey eventually ran away, started a pro wrestling career four years ago and somehow successfully pitched the idea to DDT to get booked by them. Monkey already has some notoriety among the Japanese wrestling fanbase. In 2017 he was nominated for Best Foreigner by the Nico Nico Pro Wrestling website.

Kikutaro will also be on the show.

2. Reversal Pro Wrestling Trial – Legendary Prosecutor Revival!: Atsushi Maruyama defeated Gouma Ryu and Masato Kamino when Maruyama pinned Kamino with a Buzzsaw Kick (11:01).
3. Best Stretchman V3 & Yasu Urano defeated Best Stretchman Amazon & Stretchman Man when Urano pinned Man with a School Boy (7:20).
4. FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & SAGAT defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Takato Nakano & Jun Masaoka when FUMA pinned Nakano with the Jawbreaker (13:20).
5. Trans-Am ★ Trans-Am: Trans-Am ★ Ryuji defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with the Perfect Plex (9:14).
6. Sparky Vs Sento Minzoku!: Ryota Nakatsu, Naoki Tanizaki & Akiyori Takizara defeated Ryuichi Sekine, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita when Nakatsu pinned Shimomura with the V Slider (16:50).

Sparky won the main event over Sento Minzoku but continued to attack them after the bell. Suddenly a person wearing a bag over his head entered the ring and fought off Ryota Nakatsu. The man then removed his bag and was revealed to be Isami Kodaka! He said he will be ready to return from injury in time for the 6th January BASARA show. Kodaka asked Nakatsu if he’s been having fun as the Union MAX Champion while he was absent. Even though Kodaka hasn’t been at the shows lately he’s still watching them and when he comes back on the 6th he wants to challenge for the championship! Naoki Tanizaki took the microphone and asked Kodaka if he remembers who took the MAX Title from him? It was Tanizaki and he’s not going to let Kodaka come in and get a title match so quickly. If Kodaka wants to challenge Nakatsu, he better get past Tanizaki first! Kodaka accepted Tanizaki’s challenge for 6th January.

Trans-Am ★ Ryuji defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and looked to have hurt their friendship in the process. Ryuji punched Hiroshi and told him goodbye after the match, leaving Hiroshi alone in the ring. Hiroshi was upset until “Last Christmas” played and Ryuji came back out wearing a Santa hat singing along to the song. Hiroshi joined in, they hugged and then wished everyone a Merry Christmas.

Yasu Urano went through an audition to become a Best Stretchman. He pinned Stretchman Man with a School Boy after Man accidentally struck Best Stretchman Amazon with his hook. After the match it was determined that Urano failed the audition because Best Stretchman V3 felt he acted too stubborn whenever he was asked to do the Best Stretch exercises.

Masato Kamino’s first show as a BASARA wrestler was a busy one. He lost his debut match to Fuminori Abe but left the ring feeling encouraged. He then had to come back out because he was now being put on trial by Gouma Ryu and Atsushi Maruyama! He was accused of fraud and exploitation in regards to fight money. Kamino had to sit through Ryu and Maruyama wrestling each other while they argued over the case. It was during this that information came out about Kamino having a bad history with another wrestling company beginning with the letter K. Ryuichi Sekine was brought out as a witness but Maruyama ignored him so he could talk with a woman in the front row instead. Ryu got Maruyama back into the ring and they both agreed to use wrestling as a way to relax during their lawyer work. They then attacked Kamino and hit him over the head with Ryu’s law book. Maruyama then knocked over Ryu and pinned Kamino with a Buzzsaw Kick. There was a lesson to be learned today. Maruyama wants Kamino to face his past and be honest about it. When he does he will then be able to take a fresh step in a new direction. Kamino agreed and promised to do his best from the ground up in BASARA.

3. Ricky Fuji defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with the 9999 (5:34).

5. Hardcore Match: Great Sasuke defeated FUMA with the Sasuke Special X Ver.10.2 (Imitation Prohibited) With TLC (24:31).

It was heavy metal galore in Shin-Kiba 1st RING for the second FUMA FEST show. Bands like Hellhound, Barbatos, Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu, Black Sweet, Nihonto, Alice In Hell, Dragon’s Den and The Kandarivas all performed songs inbetween matches.

In the main event FUMA took on The Great Sasuke in a Hardcore Match. A ladder was laid down onto one of the bleachers for FUMA to do an Exploder Suplex onto. Sasuke got revenge by Power Bombing FUMA onto a table then Thunder Fire Bombing him onto a pile of chairs on top of the ladder. To finish it off Sasuke placed FUMA on the table, laid the chairs over him and stood the ladder beside him. Sasuke then hit the Sasuke Special X Ver.10.2 Missile Dropkick into the pile to get the three count.

FUMA thanked Sasuke for wrestling him today. He told Sasuke that he’s admired him for championing smaller wrestlers during the 90s and had been longing to wrestle him. FUMA took back what he said earlier this year when he accused Sasuke of blasphemy towards heavy metal for liking the band Anvil. FUMA now understands that Sasuke has had the heavy metal spirit inside him all along. Sasuke said “Hell yeah!” and they shook hands. FUMA then put his jacket on Sasuke and they sang together with the last rock performance from Hellhound. FUMA said FUMA FEST will definitely be coming back next year. As long as he is here, FUMA FEST is immortal!

Nakatsu Dickinson is Ryota Nakatsu acting like Bruce Dickinson. Abe Halford is Fuminori Abe acting like Rob Halford.

Former DNA wrestler Masato Kamino announced he signed a contract with BASARA on 1st December and will debut for the group on the 18th. Kamino didn’t get to wrestle much in DNA because he was plagued with knee injuries. At the time he was known for wearing a fancy ring jacket but he seems to have gotten rid of it.

8. D-Ou Grand Prix 2019 – A Block: Kazusada Higuchi (2) defeated HARASHIMA (0) with the Doctor Bomb (17:13).

A Block

1. Go Shiozaki (6)
2. Akito (4)
-. MAO (4)
4. Puma King (2)
-. Daisuke Sasaki (2)
-. Kazusada Higuchi (2)
7. HARASHIMA (0)

B Block

1. Shinya Aoki (4)
-. Tetsuya Endo (4)
-. Sammy Guevara (4)
4. Mike Bailey (2)
-. Konosuke Takeshita (2)
-. Masahiro Takanashi (2)
-. Soma Takao (2)

After a few days off the D-Ou Grand Prix was back in action today but one wrestler in particular continues to struggle out of the starting gates. HARASHIMA is now the only person in the tournament who is winless. Even worse is his defeat today was against Kazusada Higuchi, a rival who has not had the best of luck against HARASHIMA in singles matches until now. HARASHIMA did have Higuchi beaten with the Somato but was too slow to pin him. That allowed Higuchi time to fight back and hit the Doctor Bomb twice to win. Higuchi called HARASHIMA his wall and today he was able to climb over it! HARASHIMA gave credit to Higuchi for staying calm throughout the match. His mental strength has improved since their last match against each other and that was the difference maker.

Konosuke Takeshita took a page out of Mike Bailey’s book by bringing out a new finishing move to win his first match in the Grand Prix. Takeshita has created the Fable, a Swanton Bomb from the middle of the top rope onto an opponent sitting in the middle of the ring. Masahiro Takanashi takes the “honour” of being the first victim of the move. Takeshita was inspired by CIMA’s Meteora to create a similar move. He would have used it in his first match against Bailey but the opportunity was never there. Takeshita now wants to change his style whenever he loses so nobody from the wrestlers to the fans can predict what he’ll do in the ring next.

In his second match of the tournament, Shinya Aoki again won in under five minutes this time against Mike Bailey. Aoki chased down his opponent and applied a deep Sleeper Hold, keeping it on while Bailey rolled them out of the ring and onto the entrance ramp. When he finally let go and went back into the ring, Bailey caught him with a High Kick and went for the Ultima Weapon. Aoki instead caught him in a Rotation Arm Lock and got the submission victory. Aoki later complained about his opponents not being a good fit for him so far. He thinks none of his tournament matches have meshed and he’s felt no danger.

The DAMNATION Vs DAMNATION match had the added bonus of being an Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title match. Despite being in the same stable, Tetsuya Endo and Soma Takao did not hold back against each other. Endo thought he had the match won with the Tetsuya In The Sky but Takao turned the pin into the Official Endless Waltz. With Endo left dizzy, Takao then applied La Magistral Cradle to win the match and the title! Takao apologised to Endo for taking his belt. He didn’t even want it. Takao then asked Nobuhiro Shimatani where Mad Paulie was. He’s having his food time. Shimatani then addressed the audience about DAMNATION’s performance today with Takao being the only one in the group to win. He accidentally called Takao “BIMA” and Takao knocked him out to shut him up. Takao also claims his official record in the tournament is 3 wins and 0 losses. Today is really his first win.

As mentioned above, DAMNATION didn’t have the most success today. Daisuke Sasaki lost his match to Akito in a match where Akito constantly targets Sasaki’s knees. The damage took its toll and Akito was able to escape from Sasaki’s Cross Facelock to drop Sasaki knees first onto the canvas. From there Akito got Sasaki to submit to the Perfect Figure 4 Leg Lock. Akito says this victory is bigger than anything he’s gotten before. He got valuable league points and more important than that, he’s beaten the reigning KO-D Openweight Champion! Sasaki was left in despair over the result. Backstage he begged reporters to give him scissors so he could cut his own hair as a forfeit. When he got no answers Sasaki instead decided to make Akito his challenger for the KO-D Title on 3rd January!

Husband and wife Makoto Oishi & Misaki Ohata got their wish to wrestle each other with Shiori Asahi & Ryo Mizunami also involved. Oishi & Asahi had Ohata beaten with the Cactus Flower but time ran out before they could get the pin. Oishi & Ohata embraced after the match before AvidRival left Oishi & Asahi in the ring. Oishi pointed out that he and Asahi are currently the STRONGEST-K TAG Champions in K-DOJO. Maybe they should go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles in DDT too! MAO entered the ring with both of the KO-D Tag belts to confront them but Oishi & Asahi instead decided to change their minds and leave him be.

The Muscle brand will provide a pre-show match on the 30th December Korakuen Hall show. Super Sasadango Machine, Antonio Honda, Choun-Shiryu, Pedro Takaishi, Yasu Urano and Makoto Oishi will be part of the match.

Ohata says she only needs 10 minutes with Oishi and originally asked for a singles match. Oishi however wanted to team with Shiori Asahi in DDT again. Struck with inspiration, Oishi asked DDT to bring in Oishi’s friend Ryo Mizunami so they could team up as AvidRival one more time.
