Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Sanshiro Takagi Vs Soma Takao

The history between Sanshiro Takagi and Soma Takao has been coming back to the surface lately. Takagi thinks that Takao is treading water and limiting himself by being a member of DAMNATION. Back when they were teaming together as nWJ, Takao had all of the potential in the world and Takagi wants him to be like that again. Takao doesn’t buy it and is satisfied with being a DAMNATION wrestler. Before they face off at Sumo Hall they will have a singles match at a special free show at Shin-Kiba 1st RING. All tickets for the show have already been given out.

1. Pedro Takaishi Retirement Match: Pedro Takaishi Vs X

What is there to say about Pedro Takaishi? No really, what is there? Muscle in its prime days came and went before this blog existed so the importance of this guy is unknown to me. All I know is he is a business man who learned capoeira and joined Muscle to became a pro wrestler. Now in his 50s, Takaishi will now call an end to his pro wrestling career. Or at least Super Sasadango Machine is making him do it as a selling point for this show.

So I looked up the website that was made to promote the show. Oh God my eyes! Oh and don’t think I haven’t noticed where they got the pictures. So that’s where the views for my Muscle Roster page are coming from…

1. Haruna Neko defeated Pom Harajuku with the Codebreaker (4:48).
2. Yuna Manase & Pinano Pipipipi defeated Maki Ito & Raku when Manase pinned Raku with the Neck Screw Hold (9:13).
3. Mizuki defeated Mina Shirakawa with the Facelock (8:24).
4. Yuka Sakazaki defeated YUMI with an Omplata (8:14).
5. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Next Challengers Decision Match: Reika Saiki & Marika Kobashi defeated Natsumi Maki & Hikari Noa when Kobashi submitted Noa with a Front Necklock (13:47).
6. Shoko Nakajima, Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Miyu Yamashita, Yuki Kamifuku & Miu Watanabe when Tenma pinned Watanabe with the Killswitch (11:22).

When Nodoka Tenma got the pin in the main event it was Miyu Yamashita who asked her to be the next challenger for the TOKYO Princess Title. Tenma didn’t expect this and with encouragement from Yuki Aino and Shoko Nakajima she accepted it. The title match will take place at the 23rd February Shinjuku FACE show.

Muscle JK are back in business and ready to reclaim the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles! They won today’s No. 1 Contender match when Marika Kobashi locked Hikari Noa into a Front Necklock for the submission victory. The Magical Sugar Rabbits came out after the match and told Muscle JK that their title match will happen on 23rd February. Kobashi told them she is not crying today and she will not cry anymore.

In the match between Yuka Sakazaki and YUMI, Sakazaki was put off by YUMI’s height and tried to leave the match when she couldn’t reach her hand for a test of strength. Sakazaki was able to counter a Full Nelson into an Omoplata to make YUMI submit. YUMI said that in training Sakazaki is always kind but she is different when it comes to the actual wrestling match.

A new referee named Ishiguro is now working with Tokyo Joshi Pro. Several of the girls gave him a handshake before their matches to welcome him into the promotion.

Sakisama returns to Tokyo Joshi for a match on 23rd February.

6. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) defeated Shoko Nakajima & Riho when Sakazaki pinned Nakajima with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (17:13).
*V3 for The Magical Sugar Rabbits.
7. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Maki Itoh with the Crash Rabbit Heat (17:47).
*V7 for Miyu Yamashita.

Determination by itself can only get you so far. Maki Itoh went into Korakuen Hall determined to beat Miyu Yamashita no matter the skill gap. She was determined to become the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Champion against all odds. Sadly it just couldn’t happen. The Inverted Crab Hold and Flying Big Head couldn’t beat Yamashita. Then when momentum switched sides and Yamashita started hitting the big moves it was only a matter of time until Itoh fell and wouldn’t get back up. Itoh had one last chance with a Jumping DDT counter for the Crash Rabbit Heat but Yamashita recovered. The champion then overwhelmed Itoh with Kicks and the Crash Rabbit Heat to come out on top.

Yamashita brought up on the microphone Ito’s goal of becoming the champion and bringing in a new era for Tokyo Joshi Pro. The problem is the Yamashita era is not even close to ending yet! Yamashita is the champion because she is strong. There are others in Tokyo Joshi who are getting stronger and one day she will lose the title to someone like them. Yamashita wants Itoh to be one of them. She stuck her hand out for a fist bump but Itoh gave her the middle finger in return. When Itoh left the ring Yamashita admitted she didn’t expect to face such a difficult struggle today. But she cannot afford to lose the championship now. As far as she is concerned Tokyo Joshi is not just Number 1, it’s the only one! Backstage Itoh was crying over the loss but isn’t feeling sorry for herself. She is weak now but she will be a champion! Even if it means starting all over from the beginning, she will not give up. She also thought headlining Korakuen isn’t that big of a deal. She wants Yamashita to stay as the champion so she can beat her for the belt.

The Magical Sugar Rabbits were put up against the strongest possible combination put together to beat them and they persevered. The Twin Cam Monsters of Shoko Nakajima & Riho did what they could including the Northern Lights Suplex and Somato. In the end Mizuki softened up Nakajima with the Cutie Special, leaving Yuka Sakazaki to finish her friend off with the Magical Magical Girl Splash. The Sugar Rabbits’ new goal is to keep the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles all the way up to the 2020 Olympic Games. They think they can qualify for the Olympic wrestling events that way.

From the start Meiko Satomura wanted to fight the power of Reika Saiki. She was able to escape from the Tower Bridge by applying a Sleeper Hold onto Saiki. A Shining Wizard to the back of the head put Satomura in danger. But Saiki was unable to hit the Jackhammer. Satomura regained control and hit the Death Valley Driver for the win. Saiki called this match the most painful one of her career. She has a strong body and a strong mind but today she discovered she doesn’t have a strong heart. It seems that her pro wrestling life starts again here. Satomura on the other hand is paying notice to her emerging competition. She wants to wrestle against women like Saiki as many times as possible.

The debuting Himawari Unagi didn’t wait to face the biggest challenge available to her. She wanted to face off with Saki Akai straight away when their tag match began. Meanwhile Yuki Kamifuku berated YUMI for wrestling instead of doing her homework. YUMI got rid of Kamifuku with a Full Nelson Buster while Akai submitted Unagi with the Foot Choke. Unagi has two goals she wants to achieve as a wrestler. One, she wants to beat every Tokyo Joshi wrestler in single matches and two, she wants to be in somebody’s best match on the roster.

With the controversy surrounding her entry into Toyko Joshi now behind her, Natsumi Maki had her first match in the promotion along with Millie McKenzie. Together they defeated The Bakuretsu Sisters. McKenzie threw Nodoka Tenma aside with the German Suplex so Maki could focus on Yuki Aino. Maki used the ropes to flip backwards over Aino from a Reverse DDT position and pinned her with her own German Suplex. Maki said that winning her first match of the year inside Korakuen Hall is a sign she is going to have a good 2019.

Hyper Misao brought back the Queen Of U.S.A. match for herself and Yuna Manase to fight over. This time Veda Scott was invited to join in the fun. The goal of the match is to wear a US flag hat and do the Shoot Dance as seen in the music video for “USA” by DA PUMP. Scott was able to do the dance after hitting the Spear to her opponents.

The opening match was a big occasion for a lot of the girls involved. It was Marika Kobashi’s first match back in almost eight months. It was also the first time the entire Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) got to team together since getting their new ring personas. The rest (Mina Shirakawa, Haruna Neko & Pom Harajuku) all got to wrestle in Korakuen for the first time.

Rika Tatsumi sang her entrance theme to the audience after intermission.

The Bakuretsu Sisters get to wrestle in their hometown of Okayama on 14th October. Tokyo Joshi Pro will have a show based around Tenma & Aino’s return there.

It is now confirmed that the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match is the main event for DDT’s first show of the year. #STRONGHEARTS defend against ALL OUT and there’s a few small stories to keep track of. CIMA wants Akito to take the fall so #STRONGHEARTS will have swept over the entire ALL OUT unit. CIMA is also encouraging Duan Yingnan to beat Konosuke Takeshita to raise the newcomer’s reputation. Takeshita is riding a wave of momentum by winning the D-Ou Grand Prix as well as the New Year Shuffle Tag Tournament. #STRONGHEART’s only defeat in DDT happened because of Akito and he’s the sole person in the company to claim a win over the invaders. Yuki Iino is eager to show what he learned teaming with Daisuke Sekimoto on the New Year’s Eve show.

The 3 Way Tag is now a Ladder match with an otoshidama gift envelope hanging above the ring for the wrestlers to fight over.

6. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima & Riho
7. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Maki Ito

For those attending this show, it will end at around 2:30pm so you’ll have plenty of time to get ready for the Tokyo Dome afterwards.

Will Miyu Yamashita’s curiosity about Maki Ito’s abilities get in the way of her own performance? Two months ago she intentionally beat Ito with a Crab Hold in order to see how Ito would recover her momentum. A month later Ito was able to pin Yamashita as part of a 2/3 Falls Tag Match so Ito is capable of beating the champion even if it’s by fluke. Yamashita is certain they will have an interesting match together and wants to find out what version of Ito shows up for the big main event. Ito thinks this is the most special TOKYO Princess Title match ever. She knows that the fanbase are expecting her to lose but that only means they won’t see it coming when she wins! Ito lost a lot and went through many twists and turns to get here. If she becomes champion, fans can look at her and think “Maybe I am a loser like Ito, but I might be able to win like her too.”

The Magical Sugar Rabbits are determined to hold onto the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles because the championship is what makes their team. They will always be on good terms but should they lose the belts to the Twin Cam Monsters then it would greatly diminish their bond. The belts are what brought them together in the first place and they’re having too much fun together to let it fade away like that.

8. KO-D Openweight Title ~ DDT Special Four Great Singles Match: Daisuke Sasaki (#5) (c) Vs Masahiro Takanashi (#1)

This is the grand result of the Dramatic General Election. We have Masahiro Takanashi getting the KO-D Openweight Title shot against the new champion Daisuke Sasaki for being the most popular wrestler in DDT. Akito faces the previous champion Danshoku Dieno who may still be suffering from drastic memory loss when the match takes place. Maki Ito defends the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title against the man who was screwed out of the title last July Konosuke Takeshita. MAO gets to continue his crazy path by taking on one of the craziest of them all Jun Kasai. DISASTER BOX are the latest force in DDT to step up to STRONG HEARTS when HARASHIMA & Kazuki Hirata face CIMA & El Lindaman. Maybe Hirata’s persona can distract CIMA when they fight each other. Maybe bring back some awkward past acquaintances.

However when they faced off again the the main event Rumble, Ito countered the Northern Lights Suplex into a Cradle to eliminate Nakajima and regain the title. Ito then pinned Yuki Kamifuku with the Flying Big Head to win the match and earn the TOKYO Princess Title shot on 4th January! Ito and Miyu Yamashita stood opposite from each other in the ring after the main event. Yamashita is excited to finally defend the title against Ito. However, Ito immediately set the mood by saying the match isn’t going to be for fun. Yamashita’s time is over, the next era of Tokyo Joshi Pro belongs to Ito!

Yuu told the fans about her plan to leave Tokyo Joshi and become a freelancer. She apologised for delaying the news because she didn’t want to overshadow Azusa Takigawa’s graduation last month. Yuu thinks she made a positive decision and she thanks everyone for supporting her.

Hikari stopped the Magical Sugar Rabbits from leaving the ring after Match #4. She told them that while the up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) have only been wrestling for less than a year, they’ve been rapidly progressing. Hikari wants to raise the unit’s position on the roster before the new set of trainees debut so she and Miu asked for a TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles shot. The champions weren’t sure about the challengers but they accepted the request. The title match takes place on 17th November. Later in the Rumble, Hikari & Miu sent a message to Sakazaki & Mizuki by eliminating the both of them from the match.

Mina Shirakawa wanted to win her first match in Tokyo Joshi so she could immediately make an impact. Instead she quickly found out how much of a struggle it was just to avoid getting pinned. Shoko Nakajima pinned her with the Northern Lights Suplex to start Shirakawa’s run with a loss. Nakajima then snuck in a School Boy on Maki Ito on the entrance ramp to win the Iron Man Title.

Hyper Misao doesn’t understand why there are two girls named Yuki on the Tokyo Joshi roster. She proposed the creation of the YUKI Of YUKI Championship to distinguish the two. Misao also wanted the loser of the 3 Way Match be renamed either Hyper Aino or Hyper Kamifuku depending on who got pinned. Yuki Kamifuku gave Yuki Aino the Fame Asser but Misao got in and pinned Kamifuku with a rope assisted School Boy. Her stipulations didn’t stand afterwards.

Rika Tatsumi gave a live performance of her entrance song after intermission.

Veda Scott will be returning to Tokyo Joshi on 1st December. She will be wrestling on Tokyo Joshi shows up until 13th January.
