2. 3 Way Match: Hyper Misao defeated Yuki Kamifuku and Hinano when Misao pinned Hinano with the HiPami Returns (7:56).
3. Yuka Sakazaki defeated Miu with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (12:36).
4. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Azusa Takigawa & Hikari when Tenma pinned Takigawa with the Killswitch (13:05).
5. Shoko Nakajima & Yuu defeated Maki Ito & Mizuki when Nakajima pinned Ito with a Cradle (12:05).
6. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Priscilla Kelly with the Crash Rabbit Heat (11:28).
*V6 for Miyu Yamashita.

After their last few matches on this tour, Miyu Yamashita finally has Priscilla Kelly figured out. However this time Kelly did not use any of her mind games like licking her opponent. She doesn’t do that when competing in important matches. Kelly again found herself on the top rope after blocking a Superplex but this time she wasn’t able to do her Osteoporosis finisher. Yamashita dropped Kelly with the Attitude Adjustment and wore her down with various Head Kicks until winning with the Crash Rabbit Heat. Yamashita celebrated her first match in Fukuoka in four years. She could not be happier to return as the defending TOKYO Princess Champion and with Priscilla Kelly as her opponent. She also got to wrestle in front of her mother today. The pressure she had today felt amazing and she hopes to return to Fukuoka every year from now on.

The show began with Maki Ito reuniting with LinQ for a musical performance. She said it’s ironic to see the group she was fired from cheer for her. Although she lost again today she gave words of encouragement to the crowd. You can achieve one goal no matter what it is whether it is doing 30 sit-ups or getting to Tokyo University.

Knowing that many people were seeing Tokyo Joshi Pro for the first time today, Hyper Misao wanted to show how powerful a hero she is. So she encouraged Yuki Kamifuku and Hinano to fight 2-on-1 against her. The pair eventually fell apart and started fighting each other. That allowed Misao to pick her moment and pin Hinano with the HiPami Returns after Kamifuku was knocked out of the ring.

6. KO-D Openweight Title: Danshoku Dieno (c) Vs Meiko Satomura
*Meiko Satomura will cash in her Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.

Danshoku Dieno is in rough shape going into tomorrow’s KO-D Openweight Title match. On Sunday’s show, Dieno revealed he wouldn’t endorse a match between himself and Shigehiro Irie because he secretly quit as the DDT Producer. Irie then damaged Dieno’s already injured right shoulder with an Inverted Armbreaker. So now Dieno has to defend his title against Meiko Satomura with a dodgy shoulder. Irie’s attack was out of anger of being tricked but it also inadvertently works in his favour because Satomura has said she would give him a title match if she becomes the champion. With that exception, tomorrow is currently the last scheduled KO-D Title defence before Sumo Hall in October unless the other Right To Challenge Gauntlet makes its way back to Japan. Saying who has it now would spoil a whole bunch of stuff elsewhere so would that be fair game for something that’s meant to be swept under the rug by DDT’s storyline anyway?

2. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Yuna Manase & Yuki Kamifuku when Tenma pinned Kamifuku with the Killswitch (7:22).
3. Priscilla Kelly defeated Hyper Misao with the Osteoporosis (6:41).
4. Saki Akai defeated Azusa Takigawa with the Rookie Award (11:31).
5. Special Single Match: Riho defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Somato (11:42).
6. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Reika Saiki & Maki Ito when Mizuki pinned Ito with the Cutie Special (15:59).
*The Magical Sugar Rabbits become the 4th TOKYO Princess Tag Team Champions!
7. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Yuu with the Crash Rabbit Heat (17:09).
*V5 for Miyu Yamashita.

No amount of chops can stop Miyu Yamashita! At first Yuu had an answer for Yamashita by blocking the Crash Rabbit Heat, hitting plenty of chops at her opponent’s chest and tossing the champion over with a Judo Throw. But Yamashita escaped from the Last Ride and wore down Yuu with many different kicks. Yuu blocked a Buzzsaw Kick but Yamashita tricked her with a feint so she could hit a Backspin Kick right on the button. From there Yamashita was able to hit the Crash Rabbit Heat to earn a 5th successful defence of the TOKYO Princess Title.

The result was something Yamashita wanted to achieve for a long time. When she was the first Princess Champion, she lost the belt to Yuu in Korakuen Hall. That stuck with her until today when she was able to avenge the loss in the same building. Yamashita said she will continue to raise Tokyo Joshi Pro and will defend the title against anyone who challenges her. Priscilla Kelly came out and with Yuki Kamifuku translating for her to mixed results, congratulated the champion for a great match and challenged her to a title match. Yamashita accepted and said she wants the match on 14th October in Fukuoka, her hometown. They shook hands until Kelly licked Yamashita up the arm and left the ring.

An emotional end to the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles match saw Mizuki pin Maki Ito but not before Ito put everything into trying to win and collapsing in the process. Ito even did her own Diving Foot Stomp to her now possibly former Ito Respect Army member. Things look bleak for the Magical Sugar Rabbits when Ito & Reika Saiki put them both in Crab Holds in the centre of the ring. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki persevered be grabbing each other by the hand and crawling together towards the ropes. Ito missed a Diving Big Head which allowed Sakazaki to hit the Magical Girl Splash and Mizuki to follow it up with her Diving Foot Stomp. Ito eventually got up looking to trade blows with Mizuki but she collapsed from exhaustion. She was still able to kick out of a pin but she was done when she ran into the Cutie Special. After the match Ito had a staredown with Mizuki and left the ring so Mizuki could celebrate her first championship win in Tokyo Joshi with Sakazaki.

Riho bested Shoko Nakajima in the battle between the 619s. Nakajima got a nearfall with the Northern Lights Suplex but missed the Diving Senton. Riho capitalised by hitting the Somato to grab the victory.

Azusa Takigawa’s final match at Korakuen Hall was also Saki Akai’s first Tokyo Joshi match as herself in the same venue. Takigawa tried to motivate herself when she was in a troubled spot by telling everyone she cannot lose if she wants to get signed by Akai’s agency. She gave Akai the Christie Agape and pinned her Azusa Christie style but only got a two count. Akai recovered and hit the Rookie Award for the victory. She praised Takigawa for putting up a good fight. In a backstage interview Akai was told that she resembles a certain French girl who wrestled in Tokyo Joshi recently. Akai isn’t interested in her although she’s been told they look alike.

Hyper Misao’s crafty plan for her match against Priscilla Kelly was to bring in Shota to falsely translate her welcome message for Kelly. Misao told the audience that Kelly does not understand Japanese so she will tell them about her plan. Shota told Kelly in English that Misao wanted a clean fight. Misao also said she expects Kelly will lick her face so she rubbed wasabi on her mask before the match. Kelly briefly fainted when she licked the mask but she recovered in time to continue fighting. Misao took out a tube of wasabi paste but Kelly grabbed it off her and squeezed out the wasabi into Misao’s mouth while she was in a Dragon Sleeper. Priscilla won the match with a Cross Arm Neckbreaker Drop from the turnbuckles.

A new name, a new look, a new song and a new finishing move for Nodoka Tenma. She now uses the Killswitch to win her matches. She described today as the beginning of her second season. Chapter one was Nodoka-oneesan, Chapter two is Nodoka Tenma. She is certain both will be remembered as masterpieces!

Yukinori Matsui officiated an Up Up Girls match for the first time so he was confused by their antics like when Raku did the Good Night Express sit down on Miu. The end came with Miu giving Raku a Canadian Backbreaker Drop while Hikari hit a Missile Dropkick to Hinano. Hikari then made Hinano submit to a grounded Cobra Twist. This was the Up Up Girls’ first match in Korakuen since their debut back in January. Hikari took the losing fall in that match so she got to experience the opposite side in the same place today!

6. DDT Extreme Title – Blindfolded Hidden Breasts Death Match: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Antonio Honda

A classic ruleset is coming back for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title match. The match will run non-stop for 10 minutes and whoever is the champion at the end will be declared the winner.

The current Right To Challenge Gauntlet holders are Meiko Satomura (Red), HARASHIMA (Green), Akito (Yellow), Yukio Sakaguchi (Black) and Yuki Iino (Blue). Shigehiro Irie still thinks that the gimmick is unnecessary. It’s not that he hates the concept, it is because he will accept the challenges from anybody who steps up to him anyway. He wonders whenever the Gauntlet holders publicly tell everyone that they are not using their title shot if they even want to be a champion. And if they don’t want to be champion then why are they wrestling? If any of the holders want to cash in their shot straight after Irie’s match ends, he will still be ready for them. Irie always has two fights in him whenever he steps into the ring.

Irie has also criticised DDT for failing to evolve their comedy style over the years. He thinks Danshoku Dieno is partly to blame for that as the DDT Producer. Another problem is Irie’s plans for DDT aren’t coming to fruition like he was promised. He wants to defend the KO-D Openweight Title overseas but accuses Dieno of not doing anything in his power to help put it together.

1. Tokyo Princess Cup – Semi Final: Yuu defeated Nodoka-oneesan by TKO with the Katahajime (7:38).
2. Tokyo Princess Cup – Semi Final: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Rika Tatsumi with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (13:25).
3. 3 Way Match: Yuna Manase defeated Hyper Misao and Yuki Aino when Manase pinned Aino with the Kakato Drop (8:09).
4. Sakisama, Azusa Christie & Martha defeated Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Kamifuku & Hikari when Sakisama submitted Hikari with the Versailles Foot Choke (12:19).
5. Miyu Yamashita, Maki Ito & Mizuki defeated Miu, Raku & Hinano when Ito pinned Hinano with the DDT (10:28).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Final: Yuu defeated Yuka Sakazaki with the Last Ride (9:44).

For the 2nd time Yuu has won the TOKYO Princess Cup! The final rounds took place today with Yuu beating Nodoka-oneesan and Yuka Sakazaki beating Rika Tatsumi to set up the main event. Yuu’s big win happened when she caught Sakazaki in midair and Power Bombed her. She then hit the Last Ride Power Bomb for the three count. Yuu let out a big cry when she won.

Yuu said she first won the Princess Cup two years ago. She wasn’t afraid of anything back then because she was undefeated and she had a lot of fun with wrestling. This time however there is a lot on her mind. She lost the TOKYO Princess Title, the girls around her a getting stronger and there are new juniors underneath her filling up the Tokyo Joshi Pro roster. It has her wondering where her place in Tokyo Joshi is. But the one thing she can do without fail is believe in her strength. She believes in her wrestling and is happy to be a part of Tokyo Joshi. She might be in a better place now than she was two years ago. That leads to something else Yuu wants to do. She called out Miyu Yamashita and challenged her to a TOKYO Princess Title match! Yuu believes she has to be at a certain level to fight for the championship and today she reached it. Yamashita said of course she accepts the challenge. Yamashita knows her strength the best and told Yuu not to limit herself. Yamashita wants both herself and Yuu to be at their mental and physical best until one of them runs out. The match will take place on the 25th August Korakuen Hall show. Yuu promised she will be standing in the ring at the end of the summer as the TOKYO Princess Champion!

In the semi-finals, Nodoka was beaten with the Katahajime but she never gave up. The referee had to stop the match when she lost consciousness. Nodoka thanked everyone for their support and said she changed a lot of minds in just three matches. She wants to take the next step this summer.

Tatsumi threw everything she had at Sakazaki including a surprise attack to start the match. Sakazaki was able to escape the Dragon Sleeper by rolling out of it. She then countered the Dragon Twist Of Fate into the Merry Go Round. That put Tatsumi in position for the Magical Magical Girl Splash to give Sakazaki the victory. It was a blow for Tatsumi because she anticipated reaching the final.

Maki Ito Headbutted her way out of trouble and score the win for her team.

NEO Biishiki-gun won their match in spite of some tension between Azusa Christie and Martha. Christie got in the way whenever Martha & Sakisama did double team moves together. Hikari from the Up Up Girls almost got a surprise win over Sakisama with a Cobra Twist and a Sleeper Hold but Sakisama eventually made her give up to the Versailles Foot Choke. Christie and Martha continued to bother each other after the match so Sakisama ordered both of them to sit down. She told both of them how ugly they were acting today. Sakisama loves both of them equally. Christie protested and said she only wants Sakisama to love her. Sakisama asked Christie if she trusts her and Christie eventually replied with “Only Saki’s love is the truth”. Now calm, Christie admitted she may have judged Martha too soon. She promises to be more strong, friendly and beautiful for Sakisama in the future. Christie and Martha reconciled and look to be back on the same page. For now.

Hyper Misao thinks Yuki Aino needs a heroic awakening to win a match so she gave her a superhero mask similar to her own to wear. When Aino put the mask on, she found out that the mask allows Misao to talk directly to her heart. Yuki Aino turned into Hyper Yuki and she did a lot of Misao’s mannerisms. The power did help Aino when she fought Yuna Manase but every time she made progress, Misao ran in to try and steal the pin. Aino had enough of Misao taking advantage of her and wrestled the rest of the match without the mask. But without the extra power, Aino fell to Manase and lost the match.

Two new trainees introduced themselves. Mahiro is from Gunma. Himawari Unagi is a Youtuber and an actor. Both girls began their training in May.

A one day tag team lottery tournament will take place at the Tokyo Joshi Pro Beer Garden show on 4th August. The Yeah! Metcha Tag Team Tournament 2018 Summer will feature between 6 to 8 teams made up of random pairings. The winning team will receive a gorgeous prize named after the summer.

Priscilla Kelly returns to Tokyo Joshi in August. Her confirmed shows so far are 18/8 in Nagoya and 25/8 in Korakuen.

7. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Rika Tatsumi with the Crash Rabbit Heat (20:04).
*V4 for Miyu Yamashita.

So close yet still so far. For twenty minutes on a brand new ring canvas, Rika Tatsumi chased after the champion Miyu Yamashita and gave it everything she got. Tatsumi trapped Yamashita in the Dragon Sleeper and tried to choke her out again but this time Yamashita kicked her way out of it. Yamashita did a High Kick and an Attitude Adjustment for a nearfall. From that point on Yamashita hit Backspin Kicks and Buzzsaw Kicks to keep Tatsumi down until Tatsumi was too weak to block the Crash Rabbit Heat. A defeated Tatsumi was helped to the back by Maho Kurone while Yamashita celebrated another TOKYO Princess Title defence. Yamashita told everyone she had fun being taken to her limit by Tatsumi. But she still needs energy left over because the next Tokyo Joshi Pro show is only two days away in Itabashi. As long as Yamashita keeps standing in this ring and as long as there is support from everyone, Yamashita will go beyond her limits even more!

Vengeance is sweet for Marika Kobashi! After suffering so much humiliation from NEO Biishiki-gun, Kobashi finally won the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles from them with Reika Saiki. The intensive training Kobashi had with Saiki leading up to the match paid off. Saiki was at her strongest and at one point suplexed both Saki-saka & Azusa Christie at the same time. Saiki and Saki-sama took each other out with a Shining Wizard from Saiki followed in response with a Big Boot from Saki. Christie tried to hit the Christie Agape on Kobashi but it was blocked. Christie hit a Codebreaker but Kobashi toughened it out a stunned Christie with a Dropkick for the surprise three count! An angry Christie refused to accept the result but Saki-sama calmed her down. Everybody makes mistakes and surely there is something that Christie cherishes more than a championship belt. Christie said there is and it’s Saki-sama. They then left the ring for the new champions to celebrate. Kobashi said she has dreamed of this day for so long. Saiki told her it is now their goal to defend the titles as much as possible. The Ito Respect Army then came out to challenge them. They agreed to a match on the 19th May show in Kitazawa, two days after Kobashi’s birthday. Maki Ito promised to give her the gift of regretful tears when she and Mizuki become the new champions!

A special rule was added to the Falls Count Anywhere Match between Hyper Misao and Jun Kasai. Each wrestler needed to eat an entire bag of chocolate or else their pinfall attempts will not be counted. Misao came up with the idea and convinced Kasai that it counts as a death match. Kasai accepted the rule because he never turns down a death match! When the bell rang both Misao and Kasai rushed through their bag of chocolate until Kasai went in search of water to wash it down. He had to ask the audience for a drink because Misao secretly hid his bottle. When they started wrestling, Kasai put Misao in a Cobra Twist but Misao spat water at him to escape. Misao escaped and Kasai went searching for her. He went to the lobby and found a castle of chairs laid out in front of him. Hyper Misao surprised him by coming out on the Combat Bicycle and she sped towards him. Kasai moved out of the way and Misao crashed into the castle of chairs! Kasai went back to ringside but Misao caught up with him. She snuck up to one of the audience entrances and dove onto Kasai. They returned to the ring where Kasai took out a ladder. He tried to press it onto Misao’s head and shoulders but that backfired when Misao spun around to hit him with the ladder. Misao set a table at ringside but Kasai knocked her down onto it. Kasai then climbed the turnbuckles and splashed Misao through the table! Kasai rolled her back into the ring and went for the pin but the referee refused to count. Kasai never finished his bag of chocolate! He ate the last piece and went for the Reverse Tiger Driver but Misao fought out of it. Misao went for a Cross Body but Kasai caught her with a Lariat. He positioned her in the centre of the ring with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster and finally put her away with the Pearl Harbour Splash from the ladder. After the match Kasai told Misao he thought the chocolate rule was stupid and a horrible idea for a death match. But something is strange. The chocolate he ate during the match was the best he ever tasted. It made him feel alive! That is the magical power of the pro wrestling ring. Together they are pro wrestlers and Kasai now considers Misao a worthy rival.

Dead Of Alive didn’t last long as a team. At first they worked well together, surprising the Miraclians with an attack before the bell. Shoko Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki fought back with their double team moves but Su Yung cut off their momentum by spitting red Poison Mist at Sakazaki. Maho Kurone went to give Nakajima the Ouroboros but it was blocked. Sakazaki regained her vision and hit the Magical Girl Splash on Kurone before sending Yung out of the ring with a Hurricanrana. Nakajima then got the win with the Diving Senton to Kurone. After the match Kurone and Yung butted heads before leaving in separate directions. Kurone then attacked Yung backstage. Yukinori Matsui tried to break it up but ended up having his arm bitten by Kurone.

All of the support from the fans wasn’t enough for Maki Ito to beat Riho. Ito was stretched and pulled apart by Riho’s moves but the rallying cries of “Who’s the cutest in the world? Ito-chan!” kept her fighting. She survived a Diving Double Stomp but was finally put down with the Somato. Ito was left in the ring with Mizuki to think about another defeat. Ito said she brought in Mizuki to start the Ito Respect Army but she doesn’t think Mizuki respects her. She only teams with her out of kindness. Well no more! Ito is going to disband the Ito Respect Army! Mizuki stopped her. She isn’t teaming her just out of kindness, she really wants to be with Ito. They hugged and agreed to keep the Ito Respect Army going. They got the crowd to call Ito cute again then Ito sang “Ultra Soul” while they left the ring.

Yuki Aino was feeling so emotional over her debut match that she was already wiping tears from her eyes after her entrance. Aino tagged with her older sister Nodoka-oneesan to take on Yuu and Up Up Girls member Hikari. Aino’s big spot in the match was giving Yuu a Side Suplex. However Yuu recovered and pinned Aino with the Ittenyon throw. Aino said the match felt like it came and went in a blink of an eye. She promises to work hard alongside her sister.

Yuna Manase doesn’t want to waste any time coming back from surgery. Her goal is to win the championship and she will do her best to achieve it.

Four new trainees were introduced to the audience at the beginning of the show. Haruna is only 143cm tall so she will be the shortest member of the roster when she debuts. Kyo comes from an open training class held by that DDT. Yumi is a 13 year old junior high school student who is 173cm tall. Kirino wants to be like Shawn Michaels.

This is the last DDT show before “JUDGEMENT 2018” a week later. The two matches I have the most interest in are Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Kota Umeda and Ethan Page Vs Naomi Yoshimura. Two fresh grudges for different reasons. Umeda is facing his former “brother” one on one while Page wants to show he is much stronger than Yoshimura.

DDT “APRIL FOOL 2018”, 01/04/2018

4. DDT Extreme Title: Yuko Miyamoto (c) Vs Mike Bailey

Mike Bailey gets the DDT Extreme Title shot. The match stipulation has yet to be decided by Yuko Miyamoto.

High stakes are being made by Sanshiro Takagi. He is making himself and Toru Owashi put their DDT careers on the line against two unknown opponents. Whoever takes the losing fall in the match will no longer be allowed inside a DDT ring ever again. Usually when this happens the losing wrestler discovers a long lost foreign relative to take his place.
