3. Sanshiro Takagi & Azul Dragon defeated Makoto Oishi & Shunma Katsumata when Dragon pinned Oishi with a Backslide Pin (7:14).
4. Hakata Specialty! Promotion Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi defeated Mike Bailey & Danshoku Dino when HARASHIMA pinned Dino with the Somato (13:23).
5. Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Diego defeated Keisuke Ishii, Kouki Iwasaki & MAO when Takeshita pinned MAO with the Surprise Rose (11:01).
6. DDT Extreme Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Last Man Standing Match: Daisuke Sasaki (E/c) Vs Joey Ryan (I/c) ended in a Double KO (23:58).
*V3 for Sasaki. V? for Joey Ryan.
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Shigehiro Irie & Kazusada Higuchi (c) defeated KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi when Higuchi pinned Sakaguchi with a Nodowa Bomb (23:20).
*V2 for YaroZ.

In a repeat of the ending to their singles match last month, Kazusada Higuchi used Power Bombs to fight out of Yukio Sakaguchi’s Triangle Choke. Sakaguchi kept hold of the Choke for as long as he could. However this time Higuchi kept his consciousness and fully broke Sakaguchi with the Nodowa Bomb. Not only did Sakaguchi let go of the move but he was also too beaten to kick out of the pin. Both KUDO & Sakaguchi offered to shake Shigehiro Irie & Higuchi’s hands after the match. The KO-D Tag Team Champions instead chose to bow as a show of respect. Higuchi said he could not have won the match without Irie. In return Irie talked about how much he admires Higuchi’s strength.

The Last Man Standing grudge match between Daisuke Sasaki and Joey Ryan ended in a draw. Sasaki provoked Ryan by bringing out a picture of Ryan’s wife Laura James to the ring with him. The match became more violent as time went by. Sasaki used a chair for his Super Elbow Drop and also to add extra pain to the Cross Facelock. He then poured thumbtacks into Ryan’s tights and went to attack him with the chair. Ryan fought back by pouring thumbtacks into Sasaki’s mouth and Super Kicking him afterwards. Ryan then Speared Sasaki from the apron through a table outside the ring! When Sasaki got back up, Ryan set up several chairs next to each other in the ring then climbed the ropes. Sasaki stopped him, climbed up the ropes too and then gave Ryan a Superplex onto the chairs! Both of them could not answer the 10 count so the match was ruled a draw. Since the DDT Extreme Title and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title were both on the line, the result counts as successful title defences for both men. Both Sasaki and Ryan demanded a rematch because neither of them lost.

When ALL OUT were finished celebrating their win in the ring, Naomi Yoshimura came out with his latest act of revenge against Konosuke Takeshita. This time he was stealing Takeshita’s power blocks. Takeshita is always training with power blocks when he warms up for his matches so without them he can’t warm up properly anymore. However Takeshita pointed out that both DDT and Big Japan were having shows in Hakata Star Lane today and it was Big Japan who were supplying the equipment. Those aren’t his power blocks, they belong to a Big Japan wrestler. Suddenly out came Yuji Okabayashi! He grabbed the power blocks from Yoshimura, yelled at him to never disturb his training again and left. Yoshimura tried to act like he was still stealing everything important in Takeshita’s life and soon it will include the KO-D Openweight Championship. Takeshita told Yoshimura to take it easy.

Danashoku Dino summoned Makoto Oishi, Nobuhiro Shimatani and Yuki Ueno out during the Hakata Specialty match. He announced that we are in the middle of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival so they should celebrate. He then stripped the three of their clothes and they were all wearing fundoshis underneath. He then made the three of them form a pillar of asses against the corner. Unfortunately for Dino’s partner Mike Bailey he was the one who ended up face first into the pillar. With Bailey incapacitated, Dino had no help and was pinned by HARASHIMA. After the match Toru Owashi thanked HARASHIMA for winning because he was knocked out earlier by the Danshoku Nightmare VR. Owashi teaming with HARASHIMA again brought back memories of their Disaster BOX unit. Backstage Owashi claimed he was now a member of Smile Squash but HARASHIMA denied it. The match was only a Disaster BOX reunion, nothing more. Owashi then asked if HARASHIMA remembers their fellow BOX member Shogo Takagi because he still has his phone number but never calls him.

Kota Umeda greeted the crowd at the beginning of the show. He is still recovering from his injuries but he promises he will be wrestling again when DDT returns to Hakata.

4. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata & MAO (c) when Takanashi pinned Oishi with the Takatonic (7:12).
*NωA fails in V4. Shuten-dōji becomes the 30th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
5. Pro Wrestling Version Of “Honnō-ji Incident” 1 Vs 3 Handicap Match: Sanshiro Takagi defeated Danshoku Dino, Super Sasadango Machine & Ken Ohka when Takagi pinned Machine with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb (7:50).
6. Kaz Hayashi & Keisuke Ishii defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Paulie when Ishii pinned Paulie with the Kneel Kick (11:10).
*Keisuke Ishii wins Mad Paulie’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.
7. Mike Bailey & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Diego when Bailey pinned Diego after the Ultima Weapon and Canadian Backbreaker Combo (12:02).
8. King Of DDT 2017 – Final: Tetsuya Endo defeated HARASHIMA with the Shooting Star Press (22:08).

Tetsuya Endo is the 2017 King Of DDT winner! His knees are probably killing him after today’s show but it was worth it. Endo defeated HARASHIMA in the final, overcoming the odds against a fresher and more experienced opponent after the semi-finals. Endo’s knees were not in 100% condition when the main event began so they were the target of HARASHIMA’s offence. Despite the disadvantage, Endo still pulled out his big moves. He prevented HARASHIMA from hitting the Firebird Splash so he could do Tetsuya In The Sky With Diamonds instead. He later put all his might into the Torture Rack Bomb. That placed HARASHIMA in the perfect position for the match winning Shooting Star Press.

Endo was rewarded with a 1,000,000 yen prize as well as the main event spot for “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2017” in August. Daisuke Sasaki puts his faith in Endo to win the KO-D Openweight Title at that show. Sasaki said he lives his life thinking he could die at anytime but he swears he won’t die until Endo wins the title at Sumo Hall! The crowd chanted Endo’s name and he tried to shrug them off. He claims he is not interested in main eventing Sumo Hall and winning the KO-D Title there. But he then reconsidered his opinion. He’s been through a lot this year so he realises that he can’t complain about the opportunity. He’ll main event Sumo Hall after all!

The reason Endo went into the final with bad knees is all because of Akito. They fought in the semi-final where Akito used his arsenal of submissions to wear down Endo’s legs. Things looked bad for Endo when he missed a Swan Dive Kneel Kick and fell into an Anklelock. Akito then turned it into a Figure 4 Leg Lock with the intent of turning it into his Perfect version of the move. Endo fought his way on top of Akito and suddenly pinned him for the surprise three count. Akito said in his post match interview that he never expected the match to end that way. He realises that only focusing on Akito’s legs could have been a mistake. On the other hand, Akito also wonders that maybe Endo is just the better wrestler and is good enough to become the ace of DDT.

The other semi-final was a highly anticipated match between HARASHIMA and Shigehiro Irie. The two are no strangers to each other, having had five singles matches previously. HARASHIMA had won every single bout so Irie went in determined to finally beat his rival. Shockingly, HARASHIMA pinned Irie in under three minutes with a Crucifix Pin! In a flashback to their match from Christmas Day last year, Irie tried to Power Bomb HARASHIMA onto the apron. HARASHIMA avoided that and brought the match back into the ring where they rushed into a wild series of missed Enzuigiris and Beast Bombers. After that HARASHIMA hooked Irie into the Crucifix Pin and to the surprise of everyone that was enough. Irie knew what had happened and immediately left the ring in anger.

Mike Bailey is becoming ever more smug in his attempts to show sportsmanship to Konosuke Takeshita. He enthusiastically applauded Takeshita during their tag match. Then after he knocked out Diego, Bailey taunted Takeshita by dragging Diego over and pretending he was trying to tag out. Takeshita was left fighting a 2-on-1 disadvantage until Diego recovered. Unfortunately Diego was put away with a painful combination of the Canadian Backbreaker from Kazusada Higuchi followed by the Ultima Weapon by Bailey while Diego was still held in the air.

A happy Bailey told Takeshita after the match that he wants to fight him every week, even if he was the eternal challenger and Takeshita was the eternal champion. But Bailey then said he will win their KO-D Title match in Shinjuku so maybe that means he will be the eternal champion and Takeshita the eternal challenger instead. Takeshita saw the funny side and joked with Bailey until Keisuke Ishii stepped into the ring with his newly won Right To Challenge Contract. Ishii said he will cash in his title shot on 23rd July, a show that takes place weeks after Takeshita Vs Bailey. Ishii stared at Takeshita until Bailey stepped right up to his face. Takeshita got both of their attention by saying today’s main event will determine one half of the Sumo Hall main event. He will be standing on the other side of the ring as the champion and neither Bailey, Ishii or Naomi Yoshimura will stop him!

Keisuke Ishii is back on track and he has Kaz Hayashi to thank for that. The two defeated DAMNATION with Ishii pinning Mad Paulie. As a bonus, Ishii now has a Right To Challenge contract and as mentioned above, he was quick to decide when to use it. Hayashi noticed that Ishii used the Final Cut during the match. He’s alright with Ishii borrowing the move but he should practice it with him first so it can be done better.

The trio of Danshoku Dino, Super Sasadango Machine and Ken Ohka sent a threatening video to Sanshiro Takagi before their 3 Vs 1 match. Dino warned Takagi that Ohka isn’t the only person in the company who holds a grudge against him, there are more who will betray him tonight! Ohka wants to tell Takagi what he thinks of him but instead he will let the hat on his head say it. He then showed off a baseball cap on his head with the word “FUCK” written on it. When the match began Takagi had little trouble fighting off his three opponents. But when he ran to the ropes the first betrayal happened. Hirata Collection A.T. tripped Takagi, gave him the middle fingers then began stomping on him. Ohka missed a Spear which allowed Takagi to fight back and give Hirata the Stunner. Takagi pinned Sasadango after the Spicolli Driver but Yukinori Matsui stopped counting after two. Matsui was the next betrayer! Takagi gave him a Stunner then tried to pin Dino. Daisuke Kiso ran down and counted but he also stopped at two. He is also betraying Takagi! So Takagi gave him a Stunner too. Amon Tsurumi ran down to the ring and put on a referee shirt after Takagi gave Sasadango an Avalanche Brainbuster. But he too betrayed Takagi! He survived a Stunner when his afro slipped off but Takagi then gave him a Death Valley Bomb onto Sasadango. More trouble came when Toru Owashi ran in wearing a referee shirt that was too small for him. He briefly paused the pin count but it turned out he was on Takagi’s side and he counted to three.

Takagi won the match to put an end to Ohka’s attempted coup d’etat but he has a coup d’etat of his own to do. He wants a singles match with Dino and he wants it in Korakuen Hall next month. Dino objected. This year is DDT’s 20th year in existence. If a coup of this size is going to happen it should happen on the big stage. Dino Vs Takagi should happen at Sumo Hall! Takagi hesitated to accept the challenge. He said he tries to avoid putting himself in the major singles matches at DDT’s big events. Dino said that he’s been preparing for this match for a long time. Takagi said he’s been prepared for the last 20 years. He accepts the match. Takagi Vs Dino at Sumo Hall to celebrate 20 years of DDT!

The CD release of NωA’s new single is coming out at a bad time because they just lost the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles to Shuten-dōji. KUDO knocked down Makoto Oishi with a Backspin Kick, Yukio Sakaguchi hit an Apron PK to the other NωA members and Masahiro Takanashi gave Oishi the Takatonic to win the belts. NωA are trying to stay positive and hope success at the NOAH Jr. Tag League will see an increase in autographs and CD sales. Meanwhile Shuten-dōji already found out what their plans for Sumo Hall is. They will defend the titles against Dick Togo, Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda!

The opening match was The Rockies Vs The Italians, except Soma Takao wanted nothing to do with Hirata Collection A.T.’s shenanigans. Toru Owashi however came out wearing Collection gear and carrying a toy pig on a leash. He looked just as surprised as everyone else. The Rockies all came out wearing boxing gloves and humming along to the Rocky song. Antonio Honda said he spent all night drinking raw eggs then tried to eye poke his opponents. It didn’t work because of the gloves. Honda later intercepted Hirata’s glasses. The Rocky theme played proper when he put them on. The music boost was powerful enough for The Rockies to win the match. Rocky Kawamura yelled “Adrian!” to celebrate.

Both Tomomitsu Matsunaga and Danny Duggan had the back of their wrestling tights pulled down during the dark match. Both of them continued to wrestle with their backsides exposed.

Takaeshita was supposed to start off the show’s opening call but he was interrupted by Naomi Yoshimura. Of course he ran down all of his life problems which he blames Takeshita for then began the next chapter of his story. After his grandmother was arrested and his favourite restaurant had closed down, Yoshimura was alone in the world with absolutely nothing in his possession. Life was so bad he had to resort to thievery everyday. This continued until one day Yoshimura walked past a muscular man carrying a bag of money. He grabbed the bag off of him and ran as fast as he could. He thought he would escape until he saw someone standing ahead of him at the intersection. It was Konosuke Takeshita! Yoshimura was so surprised and enraged at the sight of Takeshita that he stopped in his tracks. The police chasing after him then caught him. Yoshimura thought his life was over until a voice from behind told the police to let him go if he gave back the bag. Yoshimura looked over and saw that the muscular man showing him mercy was Zeus! From that day onwards, Yoshimura trained hard at KING GYM so he could follow Zeus’s path and become a pro wrestler. Zeus, this god-like being, gave Yoshimura’s life meaning while all Takeshita had done was take everything away from him. Not only will he use his Right To Challenge contract to take the KO-D Title away from Takeshita, he will also take everything Takeshita values one by one. First up, the show opening call! Yoshimura smugly yelled “DDT Korakuen Tournament Start!” into the microphone. Takeshita tried asking Yoshimura when he was going to cash in his title shot but his microphone cut off so the intro video could be played.

Two new DNA trainees were introduced. Masato Kamino is 23 years old and from the Nara Prefecture. He is 175cm high, weighs 82kg and trained as a swimmer for 15 years. He will debut in Shinjuku on 5th August. He originally began training at the same time as MAO but an injury held him back. Kamino had considered transitioning into a ring announcing job instead but was determined to debut as a wrestler. Yuki Ino is 22 years old and from Tokyo. He is 178cm high, weighs 120kg and played rugby in Kokushikan University. He had several offers from other sports teams but DDT became interested when they heard he could bench press 205kg, dead lift 300kg and leg press 560kg. Ino said when he played rugby he blew past every opponent that was in front of his eyes. He would like to do the same to all of the best wrestlers. His goal is to win the KO-D Title. He will debut at Sumo Hall.

The show began with a 10 bell tribute to Mr. Pogo who passed away on 23rd June. Pogo once appeared at a DDT Street Wrestling show held in an iron factory back in 2014. He had also made appearances for Union Pro in 2006.

LiLiCo will return to DDT at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2017”.

DDT will return to the Delicious Sacas Festival in July for a week long series of free shows. This year’s festival takes place from 24th to 30th July

Dave Crist from Rockstar Pro Wrestling in Ohio, USA will be a part of the Beer Garden shows in August. Irie became good friends with Crist during his American excursions. Irie’s “Space Panda” aesthetic is a shoutout to Crist and his other Ohio buddies.

Rekka Vs MAO will be the main event of DDT’s return to Taiwan on 29th July.

DAMNATION came away from Saitama with one win and one loss out of two important matches. In the main event Daisuke Sasaki pinned Akito but while this was going on Shuji Ishikawa and HARASHIMA traded Elbow Strikes non-stop outside the ring. This continued after the match ended until they finished with a staredown. Ishikawa warned HARASHIMA not to break down in their KO-D Openweight Title match next month. Ishikawa said he will be the last one standing because he is the biggest and most powerful in the pro wrestling world. HARASHIMA said he will not break no matter what Ishikawa throws at him. He will draw power from all of the 906 votes that won him the DDT Dramatic General Election. Ishikawa was given permission by Daisuke Sasaki to give the show closing speech but Sasaki immediately cut him off. Sasaki said the era of DAMNATION will last forever… until he marries Candice LeRae.

DAMNATION’s defeat on this show was dealt by Happy Motels. When Tetsuya Endo’s name was announced in the ring Konosuke Takeshita immediately charged at his former friend. He then rounded up Endo & Mad Paulie outside the ring for Mike Bailey to dive onto them with a Tope Con Hilo. Paulie recovered and tried to give Bailey the Paulie Buster but it was countered into a Sunset Flip for the flash three count. After the match Takeshita provoked Endo by pointing at his KO-D Tag Team Title belt.

Yukio Sakaguchi showed no hesitation from fighting Yoshihiro Takayama again after he was knocked out by the legend last week. However this time he also had Kazusada Higuchi to contend with and by the end of Match #5 it was Sakaguchi and Higuchi who had to be pulled apart from each other. Higuchi said he will crush Sakaguchi in Osaka.

Rumours spread around before the show that Danshoku Dino currently has a cold. He tried to deny it but said so with a raspy voice during a coughing fit. Tomomitsu Matsunaga called Dino irresponsible for wrestling in this state with Soma Takao and Keisuke Ishii. The two of them have a very important AJPW Jr. Title match in Sumo Hall tomorrow. What if either of them caught Dino’s cold? Dino told both of them to show All Japan what DDT is all about, then asked for a hot match to warm up his cold body. Matsunaga forced Dino to wear a surgical mask but Dino later pulled it off to give Takao the Lip Lock. Ishii won the match by pinning Takao, getting a big motivational boost before their title match. Dino wanted to congratulate Ishii with a hug but he scared Ishii away.

Yasu Urano isn’t impressed with all the talk of cute stuff going on in DDT. Between NωA’s idol antics and the 3rd grader Yuni about to debut soon there is a lot of arguing over who is the cutest. Urano thinks Shigehiro Irie is the cutest because he looks like a baby.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title made its return to DDT for the first time since “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2016”. Kazuki Hirata eventually won the belt back after infiltrating TV Tokyo and TBS Radio studios to ambush Ryota Yamasato and his friends. Hirata’s triumphant return was cut short when Gota Ihashi flattened him with a Cross Body and won the title. There was then a string of title changes throughout the show with Toru Owashi, Nobuhiro Shimatani and Masahiro Takanashi all briefly becoming champion. Hirata won the belt back from Takanashi by handing him a note written in Thai that said “I give up”. Hirata then ran into Owashi’s Big Boot and was pinned for the final title switch of the show.

*V1 for DAMNATION.
7. Saku Specialty! Chikuma River Summer Time Special 6-Man Tag Team Match: Toru Owashi, HARASHIMA & Yoshihiro Takayama defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Antonio Honda & Shiro Koshinaka when Owashi pinned Honda with the Diving Body Press (17:51).

This was DDT’s second show in Nagano since Toru Owashi was hired as the company’s sale manager for the region. His team were rewarded with boxes of apples, chocolate and chanko-nabe from Owashi’s family restaurant for winning the main event. Owashi wondered if the prizes were just a variety of stuff taken from his home. He got the win with his old finishing move the Diving Body Press.

DAMNATION survived a close call against Shuten-dōji but they escaped with the KO-D Tag Team Titles still in their grasps. Daisuke Sasaki’s Swandive Elbow hit Tetsuya Endo instead of their opponents. KUDO would have then won with a Sandwich PK followed by the Diving Double Knee Drop to Sasaki but Endo stopped the referee from counting to three. Yukio Sakaguchi hit Endo with the Right Knee Of God while KUDO readied Sasaki for a Buzzsaw Kick. Sasaki ducked the kick and caught KUDO with the Sasaki Hurricanrana for the flash pin. DAMNATION were rewarded with liquor for winning but Sasaki cut off the ceremony to make a demand. He refused to do anymore Tag Title defences and wants DAMNATION to be declared the permanent champions! Konosuke Takeshita & Antonio Honda came forth to throw out a challenge. Takeshita wants a tag title shot but it won’t be with Honda. It will be with “Speedball” Mike Bailey! Sasaki refused but GM Amon Tsurumi confirmed the match will got ahead in Osaka on 4th December. Takeshita warned the champions that both him and Bailey are coming for revenge on DAMNATION!

The last time Danshoku Dino wrestled in Saku he successfully transformed the area into a Gay Town. This time he wanted to rename the chanko-nabe recipe created by Toru Owashi’s family into something too lewd for me to understand. Kouki Iwasaki objected to this and vowed to protect the restaurant from Dino. Unfortunately for Iwasaki he got his face smushed into Dino’s backside and was then pinned by Keisuke Ishii. Dino proudly called out the recipe’s new lewd name after the match.

Today’s show was a special occasion for Mizuki Watase because he got to wrestle in his hometown. Watase almost pinned Akito with some help from Kazusada Higuchi but Yasu Urano pulled the referee out of the ring mid-count. The distraction allowed Akito to recover and beat Watase with the Hanamasa, spoiling the hometown hero’s return.

Nobuhiro Shimatani continues his losing streak against Daiki Shimomura. Even worse he is still the King Of Dark Champion.

*V3 for Konosuke Takeshita. Toru Owashi cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

The last of the Right To Challenge Contracts has been used but it resulted in failure for Toru Owashi. After holding on to the contract for almost five months he finally got his KO-D Openweight Title shot against Konosuke Takeshita. He was on the defence from the start when Takeshita Dropkicked him out of the ring but he dodged a Plancha. Takeshita targeted Owashi’s right arm until a Chop battle broke out. Owashi won that and locked in the WAR Special. Another Chop battle ended with Owashi throwing down Takeshita with a Choke Slam. Owashi then hit the Diving Body Press for a nearfall. Takeshita avoided the Power Bomb and threw Lariats to regain control. He hit a Vertical Drop Brainbuster but Owashi kicked out at one! Takeshita hit the Blue Thunder but Owashi kicked out at two. Takeshita hit the German Suplex but Owashi kicked out at two again! Takeshita then hit a Reverse Horizontal Chop and that was the killing blow. “Owashi” chants filled the room when he was helped out to the back but Shuji Ishikawa then appeared. He and Takeshita faced off, confirming the two will fight for the KO-D Title at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2016”. Ishikawa congratulated Takeshita for the victory but also said he will get revenge on his 4 minute loss to him from May at DDT’s biggest stage. DAMNATION will prove they are the best team and he will prove he is the strongest when he robs the belt from Takeshita. Takeshita said the strongest in DDT is the person with the belt and that’s him. He will fight Ishikawa with full force at Sumo Hall.

Daisuke Sasaki felt triumphant when he & Tetsuya Endo defeated Mike Bailey & Guanchulo. He told Bailey there is no use fighting him. He then called out Dick Togo and demanded he appear. Bailey in English replied he didn’t know what to say. Sasaki said (in Japanese) he doesn’t know what Bailey is saying but he should listen because Mother Earth revolves around DAMNATION. Remember that!

Danshoku Dino wanted to kick off Beer Garden week with a toast to his fellow opponents. It was all a ruse and he spat beer on Mizuki Watase to kick off the match. Dino later put mayonnaise in his mouth then gave Watase the Lip Lock to make him submit. LiLiCo rushed into the ring to check on her boyfriend after the match. Dino welcomed her to Beer Garden and offered her a toast for their upcoming “hottest summer” in Sumo Hall. This time the offer was genuine and the two drank during their standoff. In a backstage interview Dino said he is convinced Watase is gay and his relationship with LiLiCo is trying to hide it. Dino will prove it at Sumo Hall.

In a preview of the AJPW Jr. Title Match at Sumo Hall, things went off the rails between Hikaru Sato and Soma Takao. While Atsushi Aoki was tapping out Kouki Iwasaki, Sato also had Takao locked in a Cross Armbreaker submission. Sato refused to let go of the hold when his partner won the match and it had to be broken up. Takao retaliated with a Dropkick and the two began fighting around ringside while their seconds tried to stop them.

Chikara was given his only chance to get rid of the King Of Dark Title before Sumo Hall with a dark match against Sanshiro Takagi. Chikara did well with his Chop heavy offence but was outsmarted when Takagi gave him a Low Dropkick to the legs followed by La Magistral Cradle for the three count. Chikara’s father Mitsuo Momota watched the match from the sidelines and approached Amon Tsurumi with an offer. He wants to wrestle with his son at Sumo Hall and help him lose that cursed championship. Momota doesn’t care that it’s the dark match because he had been a curtain jerker for years!

The list of candidates for this year’s DDT Dramatic General Election was announced at intermission. The field is made up almost entirely of DDT regulars but KAI and Yuko Miyamoto are also included due to their involvement in the KO-D Tag Team Title Match at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2016”. Mitsuo Momota also successfully negotiated Chikara to be included because of Chikara’s King Of Dark reign. The deadline for more candidates to enter is 13th August.

*DAMNATION becomes the 26th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

After over two months of inactivity we now have new KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions! The finals of the tournament took place in Saitama and in the end DAMNATION tore through NωA and Shuten-dōji to claim the belts. Daisuke Sasaki said DAMNATION will continue to overwhelm DDT when Shuji Ishikawa wins the KO-D Openweight Title at Sumo Hall.

The 4 Way Match presented a unique preview of the “PETER PAN 2016” main event. Ishikawa will definitely be facing the KO-D Champion but the champion could be Toru Owashi instead of Konosuke Takeshita. Kazusada Higuchi was also there as a potential wild card. Takeshita looked to have the match won when he weakened Owashi with a Lariat and Blue Thunder Bomb but Owashi caught him by surprise with an Inside Cradle and pinned the champion out of nowhere. Owashi told Takeshita that two days from now the fun will be over when they fight for the KO-D Title.

With Antonio Honda translating for him, Mike Bailey told the audience he isn’t satisfied with his tour yet because he has a lot more to do in Japan. Today’s DDT debut is only the beginning of Mike Bailey. He is anxious to team with Dick Togo at Sumo Hall because to him, Togo is the most successful wrestler in the world.

This months Infomercial Match was sponsored by the book store Shosen. The match would consist of five rounds between the two teams with different rules to represent the different shop floors found in Shosen stores. Round 1 was one count pinfalls. Danshoku Dino immediately pinned Kazuki Hirata. Round 2 was two count pinfalls. Saki Akai tied the score when she pinned Super Sasadango Machine. From there Akai’s team won the remaining rounds. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi submitted Gota Ihashi in Round 3 where submissions were needed to win. Akai kicked Ihashi out of the ring in Round 4 with Over The Top Rope rules. Finally Round 5 was just a normal match and Akai pinned Dino to end the series 4-1 in favour of her team.

KENSO had to fight Sanshiro Takagi in a 5 minute Iron Man Match to earn a spot on the “PETER PAN 2016” card. The match ended 1-1 but regardless of the outcome KENSO’s fate was left in the hands of three judges: DDT staff member Hisaya Imabayashi, Shukan Puroresu’s DDT correspondent Asata Kato and legendary wrestler Mitsuo Momota. The judges’ scorecards were 30-27, 28-30 and 30-2 resulting in a 2-1 victory for Takagi. KENSO complained about the 30-2 score from Momota. Momota straight up told KENSO he doesn’t want to see him wrestle in Sumo Hall! KENSO said he loves the DDT fans and wanted nothing more than to be at “PETER PAN 2016”. Takagi had a change of heart and told KENSO he can wrestle at Sumo Hall. He then told him about the upcoming DDT Dramatic General Election. It is mentally exhausting to campaign for votes but it will prove once and for all what the DDT fans think of KENSO. KENSO said he has experience with elections because he helped his wife Hiroko Suzuki campaign for her seat in the Funabashi City Council. He agreed to enter and is determined to finish first.

Chikara appeared at the start of the show to announce his participation for “PETER PAN 2016”. He is honoured to wrestle in the same building his father Mitsuo Momota wrestled in many times throughout his career. It was decided that while he was here in Kasukabe Hall he will wrestle in an impromptu match. Yumehito Imanari came out complaining that DDT yet again forgot to organise a King Of Dark Title match in advance. Chikara offered his Power Of Dreams friend to be his opponent. Amon Tsurumi excitedly agreed with the idea and made the match there and then. Chikara did his many Chops but Imanari scored the win with a Samson Clutch, meaning Chikara is now the King Of Dark Champion! Chikara was told he will have to fight in the Sumo Hall dark match unless he wins a DDT dark match before then. He’ll have one chance to get rid of the title at the first show of Beer Garden week.

Happy Motels kicked off the main event by challenging their sumo opponents to a triple sumo match. The sumo team were winning until some unexpected manoeuvres sent them out of the ring. Antonio Honda tried to do a Quebrada onto them but his foot slipped on the rope and he fell to the apron. Honda was targeted but Konosuke Takeshita came to the rescue and pinned Hoshintango with a Blue Thunder Bomb. He and Toru Owashi continued fighting after the bell and had to be separated. Happy Motels ended the show by posing for a picture with the mayor of Katsuragi City.

Danshoku Dino put up a stipulation for Match #5. If he and Keisuke Ishii won the match then Katsuragi City would be declared a Gay Town from now on. Kota Umeda hated the idea and said he will make Katsuragi a Drinking Town if he and Yukio Sakaguchi won. Dino won the match and politely greeted the new Gay Town afterwards. He thanked the Gay Town for supporting him.

Guanchulo got to team up with his mentor Dick Togo in Japan for the first time. They shared a moment when they both applied the Crippler Crossface to their opponents at the same time. However Soma Takao continued his strong form when he got the pin on Guanchulo.
