5. Gachinko Cement Match: Ken Ohka defeated Brian Cannon with the Spear Of Fire onto the cement board (13:02).

Ganbare☆Pro held their first proper event and it was actually a success, claiming a Super No Vacancy crowd at Shin-Kiba 1st RING. The main event was a grudge match between Ken Ohka and Brian Cannon. Ohka, who is quickly morphing into an Atsushi Onita type figure protecting his home promotion from outside forces by any means necessary. He wanted to prove that he never disgraced the honour of Cannon’s hero Jushin Liger. They fought in a Gachinko Cement match where a board with cement blocks on top was laid in the middle of the ring. The ending was pretty hardcore. Ohka drove Cannon through a table with the Fire Thunder from the middle rope. He then finished off his rival with the Spear of Fire onto the cement blocks. But he didn’t get a chance to celebrate his victory. Osamu Namiguchi attacked Ohka after the match and was joined in the ring by Kazuhiko Ogawasawa. The karate master said he was hired to destroy Ganbare☆Pro. Ohka and Shinichiro Tominaga challenged Ogawasawa & Namiguchi to a tag team match at Ganpuro’s next preview event on 10th May.

Shinichiro Tominaga Vs Tomohiro Otani was supposed to be the opening match but Otani was nowhere to be found. Ohka and Yumehito Imanari both came out of the ring cursing him for escaping. The match was moved to the third spot of the card and Otani finally appeared apologizing and reluctantly agreeing to wrestle. Tominaga beat him with the Satan Doll, his name for the RKO.

Nana Kawasa said she wants to become the Cinderella of Ganpuro.

The first Ganbare☆Pro event went ahead today with 73 fans packed inside a tiny room at the Nanhai Ichigaya Memorial Clinic to watch the beginning of Ken Ohka’s new promotion. Ohka, who was dressed a lot like cult death match wrestler Shoji Nakamaki took on foreign Jushin Liger fan Brian Cannon in the main event. Cannon used a lot of Liger’s signature moves but Ohka fired up and fought back. The match fell apart with both Yumehito Imanari and Osamu Namiguchi running in to start a brawl. A tag team match was made immediately with Ohka & Imanari pairing up against Cannon & Namiguchi. Cannon quickly pinned Imanari with the Liger Bomb.

Co-founder Wonder Man was forced to apologise to Ganbare Tamagawa for failing to find him an opponent for the event. Tamagawa was not happy and demanded a match, forcing Wonder Man to ask the audience if anyone knew how to wrestle. Luckily for him, Nana Kawasa from JWP was there and she accepted Tamagawa’s challenge. The rookie joshi surprised Tamagawa with a pin out of nowhere to win.

When the event was over, Ohka wasn’t sure whether or not the event was a success and if he should continue. He held a poll with the audience asking if Ganbare☆Pro should hold another show. The result was an overwhelming yes with 69 votes. Ohka announced the next show will be held on 17th April and he pleaded with everyone to buy three tickets each.
