BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. THIRTEEN: SPEED OF LIFE”, 09/04/2024
Tokyo ARENA Shimokitazawa
??? Fans

1. Special Single Match: Takagi Sanshirobo defeated Tyrannosaurus Inoue by Referee Stoppage (27:11).
2. 3 Way Dance: Baliyan Akki defeated Munetatsu Nakamura and Gaia Hox when Akki pinned Nakamura with a Backslide Pin (12:17).
3. Special Single Match: Maya Yukihi defeated Antonio Honda with the Snow Crystal (14:40).
4. Special Single Match: Chris Brookes defeated Miyuki Takase with the Praying Mantis Bomb (13:38).

The latest guest to join in the Baka Gaijin + Friends fun is Miyuki Takase. She is one of the top joshi freelancers going at the moment which makes her a kind of opponent Chris Brookes is always looking for. At the start he showed her respect until he begun making fun of the height difference between them. Takase found a way to make that problem go away by standing on some stools to reach his height. That plan failed when she leaned over to far and Brookes let her fall to the floor. Takase then figured out how to cut her opponent down to her own level. It allowed her to exchange strikes back and forth with Brookes and even hit some big moves. It caused Brookes to change tactics and bring out plastic boxes. Takase used her agility to bust one of the boxes over Brookes’ head but in return he slammed her onto the boxes afterwords. The small room they fought in was somehow big enough for Takase to do the Jackhammer in. Brookes also just had the space needed to do a small Diving Knee Drop from the bar counter. He followed that move with the Praying Mantis Bomb for the three count.

Maya Yukihi came back for her third appearance in Baka Gaijin and finally won a match here for the first time. She took on Antonio Honda. She immediately gave him Leg Kicks which made him call for timeout after each one because they were so painful to take. When he finally got into the swing of things, Yukihi switched her strikes from kicks to slaps causing him to call more timeouts until he could blindside her. Honda took control of the match and focused on pulling Yukihi’s hair while slapping the parts of her body that wasn’t covered by her gear. Yukihi fought back and put Honda in an Anaconda Vice. That was broken up when Honda reached out to a fan and grabbed their hand as if it was a rope break. He got the better of her in a battle of the Bionic Elbows but all momentum stopped when he stepped onto a stool and slipped off. It was to set up the Gongitsune joke and its follow up attack. The attack missed and hit Daisuke Kiso instead. Later the Shining Gongitsune attack also missed and took out Kiso again. Honda went for it one more time but Yukihi deflected it back into his own eyes. She then gave him the Snow Crystal Michinoku Driver to pin him for the victory.

The 3 Way Match had to take place in an odd spot of the show because the opening bout had not even finished yet. But Baliyan Akki, Munetatsu Nakamura and Gaia Hox went out there and gave it their all in a match where everyone needed to have eyes in the back of their heads. It reached the point where each wrestler tried out ways to pin both of their opponents at the same time! With so many trial and errors leading to nearfalls, Akki ended up being the one to outsmart the other two. He was able to pin Nakamura with a Backslide while pressing Hox up against the wall with his feet so the pin wouldn’t be broken.

The show began with a mad doctor entering the room but it was not Mad Dr. Ueki. Instead it was the scientist from the Mummy Research Institute who created Mecha Mummy back in 2005! He heard another doctor was misusing his creation in Baka Gaijin so he came here to show off his newest creation… Takagi Sanshirobo! Fighting the new mecha was a dinosaur on the rampage called Tyrannosaurus Inoue! It was a battle too big for ARENA Shimokitazawa and the two combatants took their fight out to the streets of Tokyo. They took too long to come back so the 3 Way Match had to go ahead. When the 3 Way ended, Sanshirobo Vs Inoue returned to the venue after spending time fighting in a nearby arcade, a fashion store and also a comedy show. Inoue hurt his knees and took a timeout to tell a dirty joke like Antonio Honda would. Meanwhile the scientist fitted Sanshirobo with a new Mecha Hand weapon that sprayed a mystery subtance. It caused Inoue to falter and fall weak as if it was deflating. Sanshirobo gave him multiple Stunners until Inoue collapsed. Kiso checked his arm three times and they dropped each time, resulting in a KO win for Sanshirobo!

1. Special Single Match: Kizuna Tanaka defeated Riara with the California Roll (6:30).
2. Ram Kaichow & Sumire Natsu defeated Kaho Kobayashi & Banny Oikawa when Natsu pinned Oikawa with the Yoran (10:30).
3. Alex Lee & Yoshiko Hasegawa defeated Yappy & JC Storm when Hasegawa pinned Yappy with the Diving Double Knee Attack (13:06).
4. Special Single Match: Mio Momono defeated YuuRI with the German Suplex (16:02).

Mio Momono has wrestled on a Ganbare☆Pro show before but today was her first appearance on a Ganbare☆Joshi branded event. The current OZ Academy Openweight Champion faced GanJo’s own YuuRI in the main event but the title was not on the line. YuuRI missed the Swanton Bomb so tried scrambling for a Cradle pin. However Momono took control of the match and beat YuuRI down until she couldn’t kick out of the German Suplex. Momono introduced herself to the audience after the match. She said all of the women work hard on GanJo shows so in a way that makes her a part of GanJo too. She gave credit to YuuRI for her efforts and loves to fight her type of “dirty pro wrestling”. But Momono also said due to the difference in speed and stamina, YuuRI will never be able to beat her in this life. YuuRI said she admires Momono and will never stop admiring her. She is also confident that one day she will surpass her!

Yoppy pins Yappy! It is another win for Yoshiko Hasegawa as she gets ready to challenge Yuu for the EVE International Title on 23rd February. JC Storm went to Super Kick Hasegawa but she dodged it and Yappy took the kick instead. Alex Lee then attacked Yappy with a Super Kick and Missile Dropkick. That set Hasegawa to land the Diving Double Knee Attack on Yappy for the three count. Hasegawa said it was a big deal for her to win the match because it was full of wrestlers from around the world involved. She wants to compete and make contact with more foreign wrestlers. She thinks she can definitely win the International Title with this amount of momentum behind her.

There was a triple Low Blow spot that happened during Match #2. Sumire Natsu gave Kaho Kobayashi a Manhattan Drop and Kobayashi returned with an Elbow that hit Natsu below the belt. Then when Kobayashi went to do a Low Dropkick, Natsu pulled Daisuke Kiso in the way and his groin took the blow. Ram Kaichow held Kobayashi back while Natsu beat Banny Oikawa with the Shining Wizard followed by the Yoran.

In a match where both competitors were fighting for their first ever singles win, the visitor Kizuna Tanaka defeated Riara. Tanaka was able to withstand Riara’s Ankle Lock and hit back with an Elbow Strike and then roll her up with a California Roll to win a match for the first time. However Tanaka is not satisfied with the result and thinks she could have done even more. The match made her realize she needs to improve. Riara is keeping count of her own results and thinks she has lost over 30 matches in a row now. She wants to get better at wrestling and have a rematch with Kizuna in a few years time when she has grown as a wrestler.

Yuna Manase resigned from her role as the Ganbare☆Manager for GanJo. Her next appearance for the sub-brand will be as a wrestler on the 3rd March show. That is the last GanJo event being held under CyberFight before GanPro goes independent after March. Manase still supports the women who are leaving GanPro soon and will continue to do so. She encouraged the fans to do the same for them as well as those who are staying because everyone who has been in GanJo will always be a part of GanJo.

1. Antonio Honda defeated Munetatsu Nakamura with a Cobra Clutch (?:??).
2. Masahiro Takanashi defeated Opanchu Ihashi with a School Boy (?:??).
3. SWS Hardcore Title: MAO defeated Kota Ibushikoshi (c) with the Michinoku Driver II (?:??).
*MAO becomes the 167th SWS Hardcore Champion!
4. 2-On-1 Hardcore Match: Shunma Katsumata defeated Mad Dr. Ueki & Mecha Mummy when Katsumata pinned Mummy with the Totonou Splash (?:??).
-. SWS Hardcore Title – Drinking Match: Kota Ibushiko defeated MAO (c).
*Kota Ibushikoshi becomes the 168th SWS Hardcore Champion!

Shunma Katsumata was allowed to come play inside ARENA Shimokitazawa for the latest Baka Gaijin + Friends show. He wanted to be part of a crazy match and when he was told Mecha Mummy would be his opponent, he wasn’t satisfied. That attitude came back to bite him in the ass because he was then told to fight Mummy & Mad Dr. Ueki in a Handicap Match under Hardcore rules! The scientist and his prize project attacked Katsumata with chairs, the Mecha Drill and staplers. But Katsumata got his own back and used the stapler on Ueki. The stapler usage continued back and forth until Katsumata brought out the box of Lego and spilled it all over the mat! He and Ueki kept slamming each other onto the Lego and then agreed to take off their boots and fight each other bare foot on the Lego! Ueki later took out a plastic bag, filled it with Lego and tried to suffocate his opponent with it. Instead Katsumata grabbed the bag, pulled it up Ueki’s foot and tied it up so he had to walk on the blocks whether he wanted to or not! Mummy hit Katsumata with the Rocket Punch to break up a pin. Katsumata gave Mummy a Death Valley Driver in response. He then rolled up both Mummy & Ueki up in the mat, climbed the bar and hit the Totonou Splash onto the pile, pinning Mummy beneath for the victory.

Since Baka Gaijin is the place for unusual matches to happen, MAO came up with an idea. Japan has a college club scene where college students get to enter the ring and come up with their own image of what pro wrestling is. These clubs often include impersonators of actual pro wrestlers. So today MAO wanted to fight his own impersonator! His opponent goes by the name Kota Ibushikoshi and he showed up with the SWS Hardcore Championship, a title that belongs to SWS Gakusei Pro Wrestling based in Teikyo University. He handed the belt to Daisuke Kiso and confirmed to Chris Brookes that the belt will be on the line! The student mimicked MAO’s clothing poses and attitude but couldn’t beat the original. MAO had become the new SWS Hardcore Champion but his reign did not last long. The belt is defended under Iron Man rules and Ibushikoshi luckily found a way to win it back. At the end of the show MAO wanted to drink a bear with Ibushikoshi but couldn’t because Ibushikoshi is too young to drink. They agreed to drink cola together instead and Brookes suddenly announced whichever of the two finished their drink first would be the SWS Hardcore Champion. Ibushikoshi drank his glass empty before MAO could and was rewarded back the belt.

Somebody who was allowed to drink and had lots of it was Masahiro Takanashi. He walked into the room drunk and in need of a nap right there on the middle of the mat. He went to lie down with a blanket and eyemask and before anyone knew it, everyone in the room was in his dreams. It quickly turned into a nightmare because something that looked like a mix between Gota Ihashi and Opanchu Usagi entered the room. It was Opanchu Ihashi! Takanashi had to fight him off using the help of both Kiso and Brookes. Kiso bounced off of Ihashi but a Jumping Knee from Brookes stunned the bunny so Takanashi could roll him up with a School Boy and win.

After an impressive match against Brookes last month, Munetatsu Nakamura was back in Baka Gaijin to take on Antonio Honda. During the match Honda’s trick knee went out again and he needed medical attention. Luckily his call for help was met by the sudden appearance of an anonymous doctor, presumably British, who entered the room to check on him. The doctor tried using limbwork to heal Honda but it didn’t seem to fix the problem. Instead Honda came up with a Gongitsune joke but his attack missed Nakamura and hit both Kiso and the doctor instead. Blinded by the misfire, the doctor grabbed Nakamura and put him in a Sleeper Hold. Honda then immediately put Nakamura in a Cobra Clutch to make him tap out.

The next Baka Gaijin show will be on 27th February.

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. TEN: ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY”, 12/12/2023

1. Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno defeated Masahiro Takanashi with La Magistral Cradle Cutback (?:??).
2. Special Single Match: Mad Dr. Ueki defeated Shigehiro Irie with a School Boy (?:??).
3. Special Single Match: MAO Vs Ram Kaichow ended in a No Contest (?:??).
4. Special Single Match: Chris Brookes defeated Munetatsu Nakamura with the Praying Mantis Bomb (?:??).

That year went by quickly. In the space of twelve months Chris Brookes has held 10 events in the small but packed ARENA Shimokitazawa with his friends of all shapes, sizes and origins. To celebrate one year with Baka Gaijin + Friends, Brookes decided to face a young wrestler who was just a fan back when Brookes first started wrestling in Japan. Munetatsu Nakamura got the full Baka Gaijin experience wrestling against Brookes. He was Body Slammed onto a front row of stools but also jumped off the bar counter to hit a Rolling Senton. Brookes took the match down to the mat with the Octopus Stretch, hit him with a short-range Somato and even did a Tombstone but Nakamura kept kicking out. He was finally put away with the Praying Mantis Bomb. After the match Masahiro Takanashi challenged Nakamura to a tag team bout at Gatoh Move on 10th January. Not only that but Takanashi also called over Taiwanese wrestler Gaia Hox to be Nakamura’s partner so the two of them can fight CDK together.

The main event was slightly delayed because everyone had to clean up after the mess MAO and Ram Kaichow made during their match against each other. MAO came out dressed in a ghostbusting uniform that did not infringe any copyrights. Despite Kaichow being the more paranormal presence of the two, MAO was arguably the weirder person. He mimicked other wrestlers and deflected Kaichow’s invisible shurikans at Daisuke Kiso, causing the ref to bleed out while Kaicow had what could have been the match winning pinfall. MAO also brought out a vaccum cleaner to suck in Kaichow but Kiso was used as a human shield. Kaichow threw ectoplasm powder at MAO but it did nothing thanks to the goggles he was wearing. With the fight at a standstill, both MAO and Kaichow grabbed fire extinguishers and used them against each other, filling the entire room in a cloud of CO2! It was so chaotic that the match had to be called off and the mat had to be hoovered.

Mad Dr. Ueki pulled off an upset against Shigehiro Irie. There was barely enough room on the mat for the two to fight each other so they tried to hit the big moves early. Ueki then took out a syringe but it was knocked to the floor and stepped on, breaking it. Kiso got in the way trying to clear the pieces and all three people bumped into each other, causing Irie to swap bodies with Kiso! He did Irie’s moves like the Cannoball and Beast Bomber but Ueki kept kicking out and throwing Kiso into Irie to send their bodies back to normal. The situation finally fixed itself when Kiso and Irie ran into each other and accidentally kissed. Irie was back in his normal body but Ueki then immediately pinned him with a School Boy. Not only did Ueki win the match but he now has more data that can be used for Mecha Mummy!

One of the other first timers on today’s show was Yuki Ueno. The current KO-D Openweight Champion was given a match with Takanashi and all of the dirty tricks he knows in an environment such as this. He tricked Ueno into calling a toast and then attacked him from behind. He also forced Ueno to drink a full glass of beer before dragging him around the room and throwing him head first into a wooden pillar. Ueno eventually found his footing and adapted to his new surroundings. He did a handstand on a stool, the ceiling bar and also leap frogged the referee to elevate his moves. Takanashi however blocked a Diving Body Press from the bar counter and tried to get the win with cradle pins. That backfired when Ueno blocked La Magistral Cradle and pressed down Takanashi’s shoulders to get the three count and the victory.

Shin Suzuki was the ring announcer today. Chie Koishikawa also did some microphone duties while Antonio Honda did a musical performance during intermission.

The next Baka Gaijin + Friends event will take place on 17th January.

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. NINE: HORROR BUSINESS”, 31/10/2023

1. Ram Kaichow & Chris Kaichow defeated Mad Dr. Ueki & Nurse Gore when Ram pinned Gore with the Rainmaker (?:??).
2. Kazusada Higuchi defeated Masahiro Takanashi with the Modified Canadian Backbreaker (?:??).
3. Wasabi Cream Puff Death Match: Hagane Shinno defeated Antonio Honda when Honda ate the Wasabi Cream Puff (?:??).
4. Mecha MAO (w/ Mad Dr. Ueki) defeated Chieko with a Body Press (?:??).

Things were not all as they seem for the visitors to the Halloween edition of Baka Gaijin + Friends. In the main event the room got a visit from the haunted spectre of Chieko, who was looking for a fight. Mad Dr. Ueki answered the challenge by calling forth his big experiment in its finished form. Earlier in the summer Dr. Ueki collected a sample of MAO’s DNA. Over time he infused Mecha Mummy with the DNA, morphing it into his ultimate creation… Mecha MAO! Using the powers of MAO and Mecha Mummy combined the merged fighter still had trouble shaking off Chieko. She used her ghostly powers to send MAO’s Rocket Punch towards Ueki instead of herself. Ueki then ordered MAO to self destruct but it resisted the command. Chieko tried to stop it too until MAO went ahead and caused its chest to explode. MAO then fell on top of Chieko which counted as a pin and resulted in a three count. When the dust settled MAO and Ueko embraced.

Both Antonio Honda and Hagane Shinno entered the ARENA Shimokitazawa dressed in bee costumes. They intended to play a song by their band Daisetz for the fans in attendance but forgot to bring their instruments. Each blamed each other and decided there was only one match they could do to solve their dispute… a Wasabi Cream Puff Death Match! Daisuke Kiso held out a pan filled with cream puffs, one of which was filled with wasabi. Every time a wrestler was pinned for a two count they would have to eat a cream puff. If it was the cream puff filled with wasabi then they would lose. Honda and Shinno pinned each other once but both ate a safe cream puff. Honda used Gongitsune to pin Shinno only for the third puff to be safe too. What looked to become a Bionic Elbow duel instead turned into Shinno pinning Honda with a Backslide Pin. With two puffs left Honda made his choice and spat it out into the fans! It was the wasabi puff meaning Shinno was the winner.

Masahiro Takanashi didn’t show up wearing any silly costumes because he thinks Halloween is for kids. He made fun of the audience for coming to the show all dressed up but that attracted the attention of Kazusada Higuchi in his sumo gear. He easily overpowered Takanashi which caused Takanashi to change tactics. He grabbed whatever he could of Higuchi whether it was a finger or an ear and started twisting. He then poured a glass of beer into Higuchi’s mouth and swirled his head around to get him drunk. He then grabbed this month’s ring announcer Shota (dressed as Super Mario) and threw him into Higuchi. That did nothing to Takanashi threw Higuchi head first into a wooden pillar. That did nothing either. If that wasn’t enough, Higuchi’s hard head no sold getting hit with a bamboo stick too! A ref bump gave Takanashi the chance to grab his SETUP World Tag Team Titles belt to use as a weapon but Shota stopped him. Shota grabbed the belt off him and took a swing. Takanashi ducked and Higuchi got hit instead. However Takanashi’s luck finally ran out when Shota gave him a Codebreaker and Higuchi lifted him up into the Canadian Backbreaker to make him give up in front of the revived referee.

The first signs of fun that awaited everyone was Chris Brookes showing up in full Ram Kaichow facepaint. The real Ram Kaichow didn’t like seeing Brookes behave just like her, movements and all. Their opponents were Mad Dr. Ueki & Dr. Gore, who showed up as Nurse Gore because Ueki is already the doctor here. Ueki took Kaichow lightly even when she was armed with a stapler. He encouraged her to staple his forehead and proudly showed that it didn’t hurt him. What did hurt him was Kaichow stapling him in the groin afterward. Brookes lifted Kaichow up onto his shoulers and propellar spun her around to kick Gore. Ueki & Gore did their own teamwork by piling on top of Kaichow together only for Brookes to break the pin with a Double Stomp. Brookes then blinded Gore with Ectoplasm and Kaichow pinned him with the Rainmaker. The two Kaichows then fought over each other to soak in the cheers for “Kaichow”.

At the end of the show Brookes announced the next event on 12th December will celebrate Baka Gaijin’s 1st Anniversary. It also already has a main event in place. Brookes will face Munetatsu Nakamura from Ganbare☆Pro! Brookes explained that when he wrestled in Japan for the first time five years ago, Nakamura was just a fan who bought his merchandise. It would be a special idea for Brookes to face somebody who begun as a fan of his and then became a pro wrestler.

1. Special Single Match: Yoshihiko defeated Antonio Honda after the CRII from Yoshihiko’s handler (11:45).
2. Special Single Match: HARASHIMA defeated Mecha Mummy (w/ Mad Dr. Ueki) with the Somato (7:54).
3. Baliyan Akki defeated Mad Dr. Ueki with the Koryu (7:39).
4. Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi defeated El Hijo del Chris Brookes & El Hijo del Takanashi when Takanashi pinned Takanashi after the Hair Of The Dog with Brookes (12:37).
5. Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Monomoth & Dr. Gore when Brookes pinned Monomoth with the Praying Mantis Bomb (6:55).

The crowd at ARENA Shimokitazawa were seeing double at this month’s Baka Gaijin + Friends when CDK took on… ChieDK! Their opponents MAO & Chie Koishikawa entered the room in full CDK cosplay and were announced as El Hijo del Chris Brookes & El Hijo del Takanashi respectively. MAO & Koishikawa moved around in a drunken manner similar to Takanashi while MAO wouldn’t stop vaping. The two teams fought around the room, dragging Yuki Ueno into the action. But in the end CDK defeated their doppelgangers, proving you cannot beat the originals.

That wasn’t the end though because CDK found themselves taking part in an extra match afterwards. They were feeling invincible after the main event and called for another tag team to fight them. Out came two wrestlers from Thailand and Singapore. Monomoth & Dr. Gore were here to accept the challenge. Monomoth almost scored the three count with a Bridging School Boy but Brookes kicked out and gave him the Praying Mantis Bomb. CDK ended the night with two wins back to back.

The mad doctor’s experiments aren’t working out for him this month. Mad Dr. Ueki brought Mecha Mummy back to Baka Gaijin for a big singles match against HARASHIMA. For HARASHIMA’s first time in Baka Gaijin he figured out his surroundings well. He grabbed onto the ceiling above, swung back and forth for momentum and landed a Body Press onto Mummy. Ueki got involved in the match but his teamwork with Mummy kept backfiring and leaving him harmed. HARASHIMA knocked Mummy into Ueki with a High Kick and then found room to charge in and hit the Somato to win.

Ueki blamed Mummy for losing and wanted to set an example by winning a match himself. He made an open challenge to any wrestler to fight him right now. The challenge was answered by Baliyan Akki! Ueki shit talked his opponent until Akki hit him to start the impromptu match. Akki lifted him up for a Back Drop but Ueki grabbed onto a ceiling rail and started choking Akki with a Headscissors. The move proved effective until Akki slumped down, causing Ueki to lose his grip from the ceiling and fall. Ueki did manage to take out a syringe and jab Akki with it, drawing out a sample of his DNA. Ueki then threw Mummy’s Rocket Fist but Akki ducked and the fist knocked out Daisuke Kiso instead. Mummy grabbed its fist, loaded up and fired another Rocket Punch but Akki ducked again and this time Ueki took the blast. Akki then rolled Ueki up in a School Boy and a recovered Kiso counted the pin.

Antonio Honda kicked off the show with a mighty challenge against Yoshihiko. Honda wanted to win big so he attempted to do the Tenzan Tombstone Driver. Yoshihiko avoided it an after several tries gave Honda a Piledriver. It wanted to do a big dive from the counter but Honda stopped Yoshihiko by attacking its “shadow”. The “shadow” suddenly lost his mask, revealing the face of El Phantasmo underneath! He grabbed Honda by his nipples and dropped him on the floor with the CRII before going back to handling Yoshihiko so the doll could pin Honda and win.

-. Special Exhibition: KUDO (1) defeated Masahiro Takanashi (0) (5:00).
-a. KUDO (1) pinned Masahiro Takanashi (0) with the Diving Double Knee Drop (?:??).

Masahiro Takanashi gathered a bunch of his friends together to celebrate twenty years of him being a pro wrestler. The advertised main event was a singles match between the two CDK teammates Takanashi and Chris Brookes. In the end Brookes countered the Takatonic into the Implant for a nearfall and then used the Praying Mantis Bomb to get the three count. However the final match of the night took place right afterward when KUDO entered the ring in full gear to take part in a five minute long exhibition against Takanashi. It was the first time KUDO got to wrestle in any form since 2019. The five minutes went by in a sprint and KUDO scored a pinfall with the Diving Double Knee Drop right before time expired.

During the post-show interview backstage Takanashi asked KUDO how did it feel to wrestle again after such a long time? KUDO said it felt great and he appreciated the support from the fans. He would like to do it again. He has no plans to retire so he will definitely come back some day. Takanashi said next time he hopes to do a CDK Vs KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi tag match. Brookes said he doesn’t want to fight Takanashi again anytime soon. CDK is stronger together as a team and they have plenty of dreams they want to chase. Next year will be CDK’s 5th Anniversary as a team so maybe Takanashi will put together a show to celebrate that in 2024 instead of his 21st anniversary.

Minoru Suzuki’s weird weekend was stretched out into Monday when he had to fight Mei Suruga in a singles match. He decided to fight fire with fire by using some of Suruga’s moves and poses against her! Suruga complained about the fans cheering for him because he doesn’t look cute when he acts like her. Suzuki got the win in the end, oddly enough not by choking the life out of Suruga but by using a European Clutch to pin her. Suruga kept attacking Suzuki after the match but he shrugged her off. He praised her for putting up a good fight, gave her a hug and left the ring, ignoring that she was still trying to attack him.

Saki Akai was promised a match if she showed up to the event. When she entered the ring she was immediately attacked by DJ Nira! He also attacked Daisuke Kiso before the bell rang so the match never officially started. Still, Akai tried to wrestle Nira and had him beaten with the Quetzalcoatl. Kiso was still knocked out so Akai went to revive him. Gradually the ring started to fill up with wrestlers like Antonio Honda, Hoshitango, Gota Ihashi and Thanomsak Toba all dressed in diapers. According to Nira they were all old men and it is now up to Akai to take care of them. The match was declared a Diaper Royal when suddenly the room went dark. A voice told the audience that Akai went on to build a facility for the elderly but everyone who lived there got poisoned on the opening day. Kiso was caught as the accomplice so Toba strangled him to death. That’s how the match ended.

Shota & Ihashi entered the Gauntlet Tag Match dressed as Takanashi & Sakaguchi respectively. Ihashi even sported fake body tattoos.

5. Yuki Aino defeated Yuki Arai with the UBV (12:09).
6. Princess Tag Team Titles 2nd Qualifier ~ 3 Way Tag Match: Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe and Suzume & Arisu Endo when Kiryu pinned Endo with the Spinebuster (12:48).

Toyo Mates have pulled off the upset to qualify for the Princess Tag Team Titles match at “WRESTLE PRINCESS IV”! The big momentum shift in the 3 Way Match was when Yuki Kamifuku hit both members of Daydream with the Famouser together. She then chose to deal with Suzume, leaving it all up to Mahiro Kiryu to finish the job. It almost backfired when Arisu Endo put Kiryu in the Camel Clutch but Kiryu escaped and pinned her with the Spinebuster. That means Toyo Mates moves on to face Free WiFi on 9th October where the winners will become the new champions.

Kamifuku admitted she was feeling burned out after the Summer tour which included her run in the Tokyo Princess Cup. She always has high expectations for Kiryu but was worried she couldn’t pull it off when the match came down to her and Endo. Kiryu swore that when they fight Free WiFi, she will cut off their signal! Daydream were disappointed they didn’t win. Both Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe miss carrying the pink title belts. Tatsumi said she even would have agreed to take part in two title matches at “WRESTLE PRINCESS IV” because she is planning to defend the International Princess Title there too. Suzume was apologetic to Endo for not being able to rescue her in time. Daisy Monkey believe they haven’t reached their full potential as a tag team yet so they still have a way to go until they become the best tag team in the world!

In preparation for the final Reiwa AA Cannon tag match happening later this month, Yuki Arai’s homecoming match was against Yuki Aino. The result was not in Arai’s favour as she was beaten by the more experienced opponent. It is the first time Arai lost a match in Kyoto. She said she had a lot of support from the fans but she was lacking in ability to win. Aino wants a repeat result when she and Moka Miyamoto face Arai & Saki Akai on 18th September.

Nao Kakuta busted her nose during Match #3. It is one of the rare times you will see blood on a Tokyo Joshi Pro show.

There is a regular pre-match routine that Pom Harajuku does with Daisuke Kiso. After Harajuku gets checked in the ring for foreign objects she shouts “Onegaishimasu” for as long as she can while Kiso guides her voice with his hand until he throws it away. Today he threw her voice towards the famous stained glass window of Kyoto KBS Hall causing the lighting behind it to shut off! They repeated the spot to fix the lights back to normal.

Toga was not at the show due to being in poor condition. The tag match she was scheduled to be in was turned into a 3 Way Match with the remaining wrestlers.

1. Special Single Match: Chris Brookes defeated Yoshihiko with a Stomping Texas Cloverleaf (10:53).
2. Special Single Match: Takeshi Masada defeated Mecha Mummy (w/ Mad Dr. Ueki) by Pinfall (14:36).
3. Special Single Match: Ram Kaichow defeated Antonio Honda with the Onryo Clutch (9:57).
4. Special Single Match: Hagane Shinno defeated Maya Yukihi with the Ranhei (14:28).

Oh hey, today is Chris Brookes’s birthday! What better way to celebrate it than with a Baka Gaijin + Friends show? Things were a little different this time because a lot of the usual crew were busy travelling over to England for the weekend. Brookes kept himself to the opening match so the main event instead went to Hagane Shinno and Maya Yukihi. The two kept most of the match within the black mat on the floor where Yukihi would reach out to fans in order to rope break Shinno’s submission holds. Shinno would change tactics by doing jumping attacks off of the bar counter. Yukihi’s biggest nearfall came from using the Tiger Driver. Shinno kicked out and traded different pinning combinations with his opponent until he got the three count with the Ranhei.

In the opening moments of the 3rd Match, Ram Kaichow made Antonio Honda cry, kept giving him the middle fingers and threw invisible shuriken stars at him. Honda fought back by pulling Kaichow’s hair and choking her with a folding fan. However Kaichow kicked Honda down when he started telling the Gongitsune story. Honda got to tell the story later by including things Kaichow likes such as Sanrio characters so she wouldn’t interrupt him. The Gongitsune attack missed Kaichow and hit the ref, hurting him so much he couldn’t see Kaichow pinning Honda with the Rainmaker. Honda hit the Bionic Elbow and then the Tenzan Tombstone Driver but Kaichow kicked out. Kaichow took advantage of Honda complaining to the ref by throwing Ectoplasm into his face and then rolling him over with the Onryo Clutch for the win.

Mecha Mummy performed many different wrestling references in its match against Takeshi Masada because Mad Dr. Ueki uploaded Mummy with a bunch of different wrestling tapes to ensure it would be at high performance. Mummy threw Masada around with Manami Toyota style Hair Whips, jogged on the spot like Hiroshi Hase, began speaking like Super Delphin and cut promos on the microphone like Atsushi Onita. The last one led to Mummy grabbing a bottle of water, splashing it around and pouring the bottle over its own head. Unfortunately Mecha Mummy can’t handle having any water in its system and broke down, leaving Masada to easily pin it.

Brookes took on Yoshihiko in the opener and told the fans he was going to put the KO-D Openweight Title on the line because it’s his birthday! The referee Daisuke Kiso held the title belt into the air but was suddenly interrupted by the voice of DDT’s other referee Yukinori Matsui. The voice told Brookes he isn’t allowed to suddenly defend the KO-D Title whenever he wants so the match has to be a normal non-title bout. Brookes apologised and the match began. He gave Yoshihiko a Giant Swing but Yoshihiko fought back with a Sunset Power Bomb from the top of some stools. They fought past the fans over to a window where Brookes threw Yoshihiko out of the building down several stories to the street below! Brookes wanted the match to end by countout but Yoshihiko made it back into the room still ready to fight. It almost choked out Brookes with a Sleeper Hold but Brookes escape, Dropkicked the doll into the audience and then attacked it with a stool. Brookes did a Diving Double Stomp onto Yoshihiko’s head and applied an Arm-Trapped Texas Cloverleaf to make it give up.

Intermission featured a musical performance by Kaori Masukodera. She sang a setlist of pro wrestling entrance themes. She begun with “Kaze Ni Nare” aided by Takayuki Ueki using a hairdryer to make a wind blowing effect. She then changed into a home made Jushin Liger costume to sing “Ikari no Jushin”. When she finished that she then changed clothes again, this time to impersonate Atsushi Onita, water spitting included.

At the end of the show everybody came out and sang Happy Birthday to Brookes. He then talked about Drew Parker and the recent unexpected news of his retirement from pro wrestling. Brookes told the fans he misses Parker and didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to him so he got the audience to applaud for everything Parker has done in the last four years. It takes a lot of work and pressure to put the Baka Gaijin shows together but the brand is not just about Brookes and Parker anymore. Everybody there is Baka Gaijin so the shows will continue!
