1. Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata defeated Yusuke Okada & Yuni when Hirata pinned Yuni with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (10:21).
2. 3 Way Match: Yuki “Sexy” Iino defeated Akito and Antonio Honda when Iino pinned Honda with the Ketsugoye (7:11).
3. Special Single Match: Yuki Ishida defeated Yukio Sakaguchi by Countout (9:07).
4. Falls Count Anywhere Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku defeated HARASHIMA, Hideki Okatani & Kazuma Sumi when Akiyama submitted Sumi with the Front Neck Lock (14:50).
5. Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON defeated Yuki Ueno, Toy Kojima & Takeshi Masada when KANON submitted Masada with the Arm-Assisted Cobra Twist (14:09).
6. Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Yuji Hino & Makoto Oishi when Brookes pinned Oishi with the Praying Mantis Bomb (14:22).

After weeks and weeks of Yuji Hino taunting Chris Brookes, the tables were turned today. Brookes pinned Makoto Oishi in the main event, glady giving Hino the middle finger while Hino was being blocked from breaking it up by Kazusada Higuchi. Hino tried to save some face by telling Brookes he only beat Oishi, the kind of wrestler any ordinary human being can beat. If Brookes is happy with that then he should be prepared for their next tag match tomorrow. Brookes thinks Hino is just making excuses.

A wet day in Aomori played host to a Falls Count Anywhere match. BURNING and the team led by HARASHIMA quickly took their fight outside the venue where Jun Akiyama got angry at Kazuma Sumi for smearing mud over his face. Sumi also climbed on top of a rock and did a Moonsault onto everyone. Back indoors Akiyama & Yuya Koroku were both placed on trollies and pushed towards HARASHIMA & Sumi. They got out of the way causing Akiyama and Koroku to crash into each other instead. When BURNING had enough of the craziness, Tetsuya Endo hit the Burning Star Press on Hideki Okatani inside the ring while Akiyama submitted Sumi with the Front Neck Lock. Akiyama blamed Sanshiro Takagi for coming up with the idea of doing a Falls Count Anywhere match in this part of the country. Endo says Akito should also take responsibility because he is the company vice president. Koroku agreed and suggested BURNING should take on Takagi, Akito & Okatani next time.

Yuki Ishida was able to beat Yukio Sakaguchi in an upset by Countout. The two brought their fight out of the ring and kept at it as they made it back to the ring apron while the referee counted. Ishida was able to knock Sakaguchi back down to the floor with a Chop to the chest and roll back into the ring as the ref reached 20. Ishida credited the power of never giving up and said Harimao will not give up the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles to Eruption!

A double championship match headlines BASARA’s return to Korakuen Hall next month. SAGAT won the Chouten ~Itadaki~ and challenged Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title afterwards. That’s not all because SAGAT also offered to defend the CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title he won from Tsukamoto back in March.

Masato Kamino is fit for return from his knee injury so he & Takato Nakano can go reclaim the IRON FIST Tag Team Titles. They are still technically the champions but Kamino’s injury caused an interim title to be created in his absence. Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita from Sento Minzoku won that prize but would prefer to be acknowledged as the actual champions. That all leads to the unification match happening at Korakuen.

BASARA takes on New Japan when Isami Kodaka faces SHO! Interactions between the two at “ALL STAR JR FESTIVAL 2023” earlier this year weren’t forgotten by either wrestler so the challenge was thrown out for a singles match. Kodaka even told SHO he would be happy to fight under normal rules instead of Hardcore or a death match. His reason for that decision is to prove he does not need to use weapons to beat SHO. Can SHO truthfully say the same given his reputation as a House Of Torture member? A lot of pride is on the line because Kodaka sees himself as a big figure on the independent scene facing the challenge of New Japan head on.

Nothing has been decided on this yet but Ryota Nakatsu said he wants to team with Ryuichi Sekine again on the show. They used to be together in BASARA as Cavalry. However Nakatsu just wants this to be a one time reunion. He is still a member of Sparky, although that unit is about to begin winding down. Nakatsu eventually wants all four members of Sparky to get together again so they can send it off and go their seperate ways. That won’t be happening anytime soon because of Naoki Tanizaki and Akiyori Takizawa’s schedules so that gives Nakatsu the chance to reunite with Sekine in the meantime.

17th August, 2013 was the date when Miyu Yamashita and Shoko Nakajima had their professional debut match on the pre-show of a DDT Sumo Hall show. They teamed together in a losing effort against the two other first generation TJPW wrestlers Chikage Kiba & KANNA. It’s perfect timing that the next “TJPW INSPIRATION” show is booked on the 10 year anniversary of that match. The main event will be Yamashita against Nakajima one on one for the first time since “GRAND PRINCESS ’22”.

Saki Akai will also be on the show because the 10th anniversary of her own debut pro wrestling match is one day off. Her first DDT bout happened the next day. Now there’s a bit of trivia that will catch people off guard. Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima and Saki Akai all debuted on the same weekend. And Akai debuted AFTER the other two.

KANON’s big return is for his 4th Anniversary match. His trainer TAKA Michinoku was previously announced and now we know they will be teaming up against Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku.

I think this is DDT’s first show in Hamanasu Hall since 2019. It’s been long enough that they are doing a Falls Count Anywhere match as their way to welcome themselves back into the building.

6a. Falls Count Anywhere & No Tag Rules: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Mike Bailey & MAO when Endo pinned MAO with the Shooting Star Press (10:59).

The main event went out of control when a bunch of dives out of the ring led to the two teams fighting among the crowd and all getting counted out. MAO said they couldn’t end the match like this because DDT only comes to Aomori once a year. He asked for a restart this time with Falls Count Anywhere rules. The bell rang and everyone immediately took the match outside the building. Tetsuya Endo did a Moonsault off of a drinks machine. The match found its way back into the ring where Endo pinned MAO with the Shooting Star Press. Daisuke Sasaki actually got a little sentimental after the match because his grandparents are buried in Aomori and he doesn’t get to visit that often. The story was enough to make Nobuhiro Shimatani cry. But enough about that, Sasaki let Endo finish the rest of the speech so Aomori could hear the voice of a champion.

Makoto Oishi’s Marunage bout with Danshoku Dieno turned into a grudge match when Dieno attacked him at the start of the show. In the match itself they fought outside the ring until Dieno gave Mizuki Watase the Lip Lock. Oishi then stripped off Watase’s shorts and whipped Dieno with it. Later Dieno attacked Yuki Ueno and stripped off his shorts. Watase & Ueno had enough and together attacked Dieno & Oishi causing the match to get called off. Ueno said he was sick of the sexual harassment from Dieno. The match was suddenly turned into a tag match between Dieno & Oishi against Watase & Ueno. Dieno & Oishi controlled most of the match with their lewd antics until it eventually backfired and Ueno pinned Oishi with the Atlantida Buster. Ueno wanted everyone to forget about what they saw and move on but Dieno asked for another match for next week’s show in Niigata.

Kazuki Hirata wanted to make a grand entrance from the balcony but he never expected Yukio Sakaguchi would be up there to put him in a Sleeper Hold. Antonio Honda changed up his Gongitsune routine and would have gotten into a romantic embrace with Toru Owashi if it wasn’t for Hirata and Ricky Starks breaking them up. Hirata and Starks then slowly leaned towards each other for a kiss when Hiroshi Yamato pulled down the back of Starks’s tights. Hirata still stood there waiting for a kiss so Sakaguchi kicked him. Starks pulled his tights up and then pinned Hirata with the Double Arm Facebuster.

During a press conference yesterday Endo was supposed to select one of the seven losers in the King Of DDT 1st Round to defend the KO-D Title against. However he struggled to remember any of the wrestlers he could choose from. Hisaya Imabayashi listed the names and Endo commented after each one. Kota Umeda? He’s the guy who always hurts his knees. MAO? He’s a fucked up bad guy. Mike Bailey? He’s that guy who can’t do anything without MAO. HARASHIMA? Endo hates him. Kazuki Hirata? Endo would choose him but Hirata is already wrestling for a championship at the show. Yuki Ueno? He was thrown away by his friend. Yukio Sakaguchi? Beaten by Daisuke Sasaki and he won’t stop crying about it.

What Endo didn’t realise was that Sakaguchi was in the building and overheard Endo’s comments. He crashed the press conference and attacked Endo, beating him down! Sakaguchi used Endo’s “Two types of people in the world” motto against him and said he is now on his kill list! When Sakaguchi stormed out of the room, Endo demanded that he be his opponent for the KO-D Title match! This won’t be a pro wrestling match, Endo says he will kill Sakaguchi!

The debuting Mirai will be going by the name Mirai Maiumi. She is 162cm tall and was born in Iwate on 3rd December, 1999. She was a primary school student during the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and discovered pro wrestling when Real Japan hosted a charity show in the region. She learned judo in high school and moved to Tokyo so she could train in Tokyo Joshi Pro. Her goal is to energise Tohoku with pro wrestling and also get the chance to learn from Satoru Sayama!

Tokiwoikiru, an idol group that spun off from LinQ in 2017 and currently includes Maki Itoh as an active member will perform live on the show before the opening match.

Naomi Yoshimura was supposed to be on the show but family circumstances are preventing him from coming this weekend. He will be back in the ring wrestling again on the 14th.

I missed this but on 2nd April DDT announced that Keisuke Okuda will resign from the company at the end of the month and become a freelancer. His contract with DDT was originally just a one year contract but it turned out to be the shortest contract in the company’s history. Okuda is grateful for the opportunities DDT gave to him when he left IGF last year and he’s been a fan of the company since he was in junior high but he wants to move his career in a different direction and go on a new adventure. Okuda wants his big match before he leaves to be against Yukio Sakaguchi.

“Absolute” Ricky Starks is from Louisiana, USA and has been wrestling since 2012. Mike Rollins is from Ontario, Canada and has been wrestling since 2007. Rollins is normally a mild person but during matches he can switch personalities and turn into a mad man named “Psycho” Mike.

Shigehiro Irie and Keisuke Ishii tried to fight each other after the main event but they were kept apart.

The hometown hero Makoto Oishi did his best but wasn’t able to beat Konosuke Takeshita. The Jikiden Tornado Clutch was kicked out of and Oishi was put away with the Surprise Rose.

HARASHIMA said it was nice to remember how intense KUDO’s Backspin Kick is. Masahiro Takanashi pushed for KUDO to win the DDT Extreme Title. He told everyone that last night KUDO went out drinking in the rain wearing a T-shirt. That’s how extreme he is! And the Extreme Title should only belong to the most extreme wrestler.

Hiratimo Dragon’s mask accidentally slipped off when he escaped from the Danshoku Driver and the mask got caught against Danshoku Dieno’s tights. That was still enough for the referee to disqualify Dieno.
